My wife Sue made a very valid point with your footage, many who do Vlogs, whilst they refer to certain things keep the camera on themselves and don't actually show what they are referring to. You do a nice mix of both and it helps us the viewers so much. As for balconies, we personally have never not had one, not sure we could change now, its worth every cent.

It’s gonna be hard to back to an inside or outside cabin. I tried and I missed the privacy of a balcony cabin. I love sailing the MS river. When its cold the water is “Smokey”. I love it, it’s so cool and romantic. Loving this vlog series sans boys. We have boys the same age so getting away just the two of us is sooo sweeeet!!! ❤️🥂👍🏽🍾🚢
We love sailing down the river too, it is so peaceful. This was the first cruise without the boys and it was a very different vibe for us. It was nice and we relaxed a lot more on this cruise.
My lovely wife and I are taking this cruise in a couple of weeks. The last time we were on this ship we had a great time so why not take it again? They do have a nice buffet but the main dining room is where we ate breakfast and dinner. Lunch varied, O’Sheehans and the Noodle Bar. There was lots of entertainment. Bars were most everywhere. What a great vacation.
oh yes baby the balcony is beautiful I had a balcony about 4x the rest were oceanview, when my pockets can afford I get a balcony it also depends on how many days, but you gotta wake up to see the sunrise and to see Gods Artwork the many colors of the sky is wonderful. I see you will be doing a balcony again, once you go balcony you never want any other room, but I can do my Oceanview on a 3 or 4 dy cruise.
The fish swimming forward on the carpet was a great tip. Every ship I have been on has a way to tell each side of the ship with dif color carpet etc. Butbi have never seen an indication of front to back of ship on the carpet. That will come bgg in handy when I go on this ship thanks.
We found the Margaritaville to never be very busy. I think it was a mistake for NCL to change their complimentary Flamingo Grill to a pay for Margaritaville. Flamingo Grill had Cuban sandwiches, etc, free of charge. They changed over just before our first Getaway Cruise.
Truly enjoy your videos. Rewatching them in order to fill my void of not being able to cruise right now. I do have one suggestion please include time and temperature in the videos as to help out her gauge the type of temperature they may encounter on a similar sailing. Thanks.
When I sailed out of NOLA on the Breakaway I think cruising down the Mississippi was probably the best part of the cruise, other than the ship. I like when you can see land as you are cruising by and not just open water.
I agree with you about the food! The buffet on the Getaway was really good! My husband is not a buffet fan and he enjoyed it too! I just booked the Encore for 2020!
I think we might take this cruise ship instead of Carnival Glory to go the Bahamas next time. We went on the Carnival Dream in January 2019 to Key West,Freeport and Nassau Bahamas.

I too have those earrings now for cruise..Love them thanks again lol.. also i drink English breakfast too but not decaf arghhhh ..yuck :P glad its been good for you. The feeling of the ship takes on a whole new feeling at night..I love it..:)
We did our first cruise ever in March with Carnival and I loved your channel for knowing what to expect and how to prepare. We are hooked now and booked another for March 2020 with friends who loved Norwegian so we will be cruising from NO on the Getaway. I'm so happy you guys are posting from a NCL ship leaving from NO. I'm counting down the days!!
Your gonna regret getting that balcony cause now you will never want to go back to having a window 😂. What happened to us was we got a balcony for the first time, than we went back to window for one cruise and noticed how much we missed out by just having a window, somehow now we are in the nice suites on RCCL 😂 things change fast

I have been sitting here enjoying watching your videos. My family I took this exact ship from new orleans just after you during the Christmas holiday. It's like watching my husband and myself. We truly enjoyed it and got a balcony for the first time and we are hooked on the balcony now. My one comment is that I have found coffee to be horrible on every cruise ship through each cruise line. It's strong and bitter. I now bring my own instant coffee. It's at least decent but not the best.
We just got off the Carnival Dream back at the end of March and I'm ready to leave again!! Only been on one NCL but I think it will be our next one , maybe even this ship since it's going to be in NOLA when our anniversary rolls around next year!
Dang guys. I have watched a lot of yalls videos. I can’t believe y’all haven’t had a balcony yet. They r pricey but my wife and I don’t sail without them. Except one time on the dream we stayed in an interior closet lol. Well that’s what the room felt like. Never again. Safe travels guys. Here’s to cruising.

Really enjoying these vlogs. I have become mildly obsessed with the Norwegian Breakaway and Bliss (really want to do Alaska). So this video is great. I have to get my epic Swiss Alps trip out the way first after the Canadian Rockies last year.... ...but I think an Alaska Cruise might be on the cards .
Was the asian stir fry better than Mongolian Wok on Carnival? I loved it on the Fantasy class ships I had been on, but the Triumph didn't have it and ended up missing it. We will be on the Breakaway November 2019! Looking forward to the buffet options for asian and indian food!
I will be going on my first NCL ship Sky in April so I too will be comparing to Carnival, went on RCL and was disappointed, see to me it was like for old people, I'm 53 so I loooooove to dance and party, I have 3 grown children and 7 grands but I'm still young and groovin so, so far NCL looking kinda dull but I'm gonna make the best of it.

We have a question regarding accommodations in New Orleans...we are heading down for a cruise on Carnival Glory Nov8 2020....yes lol we do plan in advance...we are from Canada and are looking for a hotel that would be close enough to the cruise port but somewhere where we can walk around the city and something with a descent price...there seems to be so many places but you have stayed in the area so you may have some advice for us?...Thanks in advance...
Was your cabin on the port or starboard side? What would you say is the best side to book to get the best views of leaving New Orleans and cruising down the Mississippi? Thanks
We were on the starboard side. You will really have a good view going down the river on either side. If you want to see the city itself you will need to be on the port side as the ship turns around as it sails out.
