SAILING NYC to BLOCK ISLAND as Tropical Storm Elsa comes! 

We knew it would be difficult, we just weren't entirely sure how that would manifest. It would've been foolhardy to presume we knew what it would be like. We're not the type to stop an adventure just because it got a bit more difficult.

Yeah.. it definitely seems to be a thing with Lagoon even as far back as our boat. Our primary bulkhead is fine. Completely different than the 450's. But the glue they use to attach most of the bulkheads isn't up to the task. Cat Impi knew this, they got a 440 when it was new and went through and tabbed in all the bulkheads with glass to avoid the problem. For us, as I go through the boat fixing different things I have been adding in tabbing to all the bulkheads I encounter. We definitely had some bulkheads separated from the hull. and some where the glue was just cracked. To be honest I havent even fixed all the cracked glue locations yet. But I do address them if I'm working on that area of the boat. Maybe its in my head but I feel like the boat is slowly getting stiffer and less creaky. I've considered doing a video on it since its trending now thanks to Colin

A little context is needed, there was nobody on the boat. Owners had left it on a private mooring not particularly well prepared. Dropping ones dinghy and risking injury just to board a stranger's boat to pull down a shredded jib isn't a prudent course of action. It wouldn't even have been possible to save the jib, it shredded within two minutes of blowing out. With regard to compassion, I feel the sting that this had to their bank account but its not worth getting upset over. That'd be true even if it were our own jib.
