Sailing Our 1991 MacGregor 26S on Lake Hartwell - Light Winds, Whisker Pole, Wing on Wing, Swim Call

It was a beautiful day on Lake Hartwell this past weekend although the winds were light.
The winds were better the first day, and we did some general sailing about and swimming.
On the second day we made our first destination trip across the lake using our whisker pole with wing on wing, and hit 5.2 mph (per "Yet Another Sailing App" for my Fenix 5). After eating lunch at another marina we motored back as the wind completely died.
Even in light winds and high temps, it was an ideal time on the water.
We hope you enjoy watching this video as much as we enjoyed making it! ;)

Such a great lake to sail! Keep an eye out for me out there! Sail number 77. Usually flying a Jolly Roger off the topping line of our little Gulf Coast 18. Happy sailing!

@@headoverheelssailing8962 I'm a trailer sailer, baby!! Setup and take down every time, but I've got it down to about 35 minutes each way (although I've been on the road in as little as 15 minutes before). Usually put in at River Forks landing, and camp around those islands, too.

Congrats! Hopefully you've made progress since posting this comment. I'd recommend finding a sailing club nearby you (there are quite a few in SC) and start hanging out. Folks most likely will let you crew with them and show you the ropes. That will teach you the sailing aspect, plus make great connections for folks who can help you with your boat. Good luck!
