Sailing Single Handed #57 - From Puteri Harbour to Langkawi, Malaysia (Part 1) 

I just subscribed to your RU-vid. I am a 63 years old retiree who have dreams to sail the world but never do much of it. I have never been on a sail boat ever and what's more about sailing. The nearest to sailing onboard the sea is probably the overnight 18hrs transfer ferry journeys from Padang to Mentawai Islands and return. Other onboard experience are in Tioman, Perhentians and Redang dive trips and other islands ferries transfers. I admire sailing boats or yachts floating freely on the water. Thank you for showing us the Malacca Straits coastline scenery along Peninsular Malaysia from the sea. I hope I will be able to experience living onboard a sail boat and learn to sail one day. I shall continue to follow you on your sailing round the world. Best wishes!!

No worries sir.... diesel is cheap in Malaysia.....you can keep on motoring....

There is an English couple who has sailed that area extensively for years. They will know how and where to source parts for your transmission. Their channel is "'follow the boat". You likely know this but just in case. Look forward to your next video.
