You guys crushed that route, y’all are amazing! Absolute legends, and as for the less-edited footage, it was amazing. My favorite vids are raw sailing content. Talk to the camera and each other, talk about the sail plan and what the wind/sea/current are doing, show your position by pointing the camera at the chart plotter. Keep the music low, and sail on! As a naturist sailor, I appreciate that you show that part of sailing. If we were to look at most RU-vid sailors, the viewer would believe they need a washer and dryer on a sailboat, as the people in the videos change clothes three times a day, and put on a swimsuit to bathe 😂.

Thanks for the update. It took us a month to watch all of your Mexico vids but well worth it.

Great video!! I did the clipper route in 2018 from La Paz Baja to the mouth of the Coumbia River, 41 days about 3000 nm, averaged 3 knots, singlehanded, all close hauled. Not likely to repeat it’s tough going.

Do you think you might look at dyneema standing rigging in the future ? I ask only because I'm thinking of it myself
@AllAboutSpray
@AllAboutSpray 4 месяца назад
I guess it would depend on the boat. I don't know if dyneema is the solution, there can still be issues with any product, , the appeal of the dyneema to me is the ability to change it out if needed. But I'm not sure if I'm really sold one way or another, even after this. I've heard of boats with dyneema rigging losing their rig too. If I rerig another boat, I'd definitely consider all options instead of just going with what the rigger suggests.
@AngusJohnson-ei1kk

Yes I like the ability to repair rigging at sea the wgt and able to store enough to do the wholevstanding rigging . But I'm up here in the North East Atlantic in the states so colder Temps can change the rigging . Newfoundland and the whole cruising grounds is amazing, near to what you may have .

I’m a northeastern US inland sailor, when we change out the rigging on our trailer sailor, we plan on switching to dyneema to make it more adjustable and easier to repair ourselves. There’s literally no strain to speak of on a 17 ft boat 😂, but I don’t know if I’d do it on a 40 ft boat. Our pocket cruiser is only 22 feet, and I would have no qualms about trying it out on a lake or a river.
