Yes, we did our best to stop them doing certain poses for the protection of the furniture though we were not always successful on this front. They had their favourites.
I don't understand where have all these lovely sailing faimlies were a couple of years ago when I had to just STOP watching this kind of channels due to people's arrogance and aggression. Now about a month ago youtube suddenly threw me a whole bunch of small channels with AMAZING families, yours included! The mysteries of youtube algorhythms!
Hi. Thanks for the positive comment. We have met some amazing families sailing around the world with youtube channels. Doing this adventure with kids makes it so much more fun.
7:30 PERFECT queen's English. 🙂For some reason it's so charming when kids speak British English. And the Saga of the Lost Lure sounds so heroic. MASSIVE FISH! Good vocabulary by the way! But you already know that, don't you? And it was TOTALLY Daddy's fault that the rainbow lure is now at the bottom of a dorado's stomach.
A rather unusual beach with the planes coming through, lol. Amazing to see your cozy living room rolling about in the midst of a turbulent sea. Dolphins are fine travelling companions. Interesting little town, love the forested hills and creeks.
We had a lot of fun on the beach despite the pain that the sand caused as it hit us. I am still surprised that we were allowed to be so close to the aircraft and runway.
1:28 I know that kid... I think. No idea what his name is... do I ever. But he is from a boat called... Collette or something. A posh brand new power cat, Lagoon 630 iirc. I remember them because (a) he had his hair dyed bright red and (b) they had ORCAS join them on their transit from Las Palmas to St.Lucia. And OH MY GOD, those things are HUGE. Their boat was 63ft long, and the orcas were LONGER. And the way they just swim along effortlessly is UN-believable. Yep, I think it's them. It's a small Atlantic Ocean, isn't it?
Dylan, Claire (and likely The Dad), DO NOT use the side handles on the motorcycle. Just GRAB the driver and don't let go. Nathan had the right idea. I know it may feel awkward, but as a (very, VERY former) bike rider I can tell you it's common practice. It's also safer as you lean into turns together.
10:32 Did you explain to this wonderful man that if he gets into even a minor collision both the phone and (what I think is) the metering device he mounted on the steering wheel will shoot right into his throat as the airbag explodes and will "highly likely" decapitate him?
I'm having HUGE problems with geography. You're sailing from St.Martin to Aruba. That's going almost exactly South-West. But your compass (3:34) says 315 degrees, which is exactly North-West. How in the world did you get where you were going? :-)))
Very good question. I had to check the video again. We sailed SW to get to Aruba's SE corner then we turned around the corner to sail in a NW direction along the Aruba coast. Good to see that you are checking the details of my videos. Thanks for watching.
Sailing around Santa Marta Colombia can be quite exciting as the wind often blows really hard in that area. From our experience I would only stay in a Marina for safety. We felt safe in town and in the mountains. The people were incredibly friendly.
