Hi everyone!
Here the second chapter, sailing from Shetland, across 180 NM of North Atlantic ocean to reach the fantastic Faroe Islands! I really hope youll enjoy this one as I take on to see the Fair Isle south of Shetland and Papa Stour on the westside to get in the right position catching the winds to the Faroes. And it did not go all without trouble.

is he a better sailor or documentary maker? I almost want the say it's the best channel out there.... well he does do all his post production work right? tho he does go a little overboard with his dramaturgical narration... doesn't fit into his no bullshit just sailing mantra ... which btw is why I love his videos, compared to almost all the sailing delos etc channels ...

unbelievable! Speechless I am always watching with fever. You are 2 or 3 persons in one: Navigating, clearing sails, preparing landfall, filming with several cameras and on top starting, flying and catching the drone from a small bumpy yacht. That needs 6 hands. How do you manage to start and land/catch the drone so often und obviously each time successful? Chapeau 💯👏👏👏

Ive watched the most popular sailing videos...59 north sailing...sailing delos...peoject Atticus. Sailing uma... millennium falcon. Sailing Florence...Sylfia ( expedition drenched). Wind hippy sailing. Florence... chasing currents, sam holmes, etc. Watched dozens and loved them, but, when I started watching Erik Aandreaa's sailing and videos takes The cake. True to its captian, NBJS... here's ( in my opinion), the best of all sailing videos.The guy's one perfectionist in all he does. His boat is A-1 rigged out. His narration...the quality of videography is unsurpassed...

Your subscribers comments confirm my views on the value of your channel Eric. The cinematography and calm narration with a sprinkle of humour keeps the viewer pinned. Good to see the Faroe's are open again and seeing the locals being so welcoming. It will be my second attempt next year as I could not take the 12 day quarantine period imposed as I left the Shetlands.More inspired now to make the passage from Portsmouth, thanks.

I’ve been looking forward to your 2nd attempt to reach Greenland with the same anticipation I had as a young boy waiting for the latest Jacques Cousteau special on tv. I knew a guy like you could never rest until you had done what you had intended to do before pack ice laid your original plans to waste. Like Mr Cousteau you have a unique method of narration that is almost soothing, as well as portraying the urgency of sailing into force 10 gales. You show us the same daring do as the original Vikings who sailed to, and discovered Iceland, Greenland, as well as Newfoundland on the Far East side of Canada in the 10nth century. Almost 500 years before Columbus. Why don’t our history books reflect this basic fact?

Well done Erik. You remain , in my opinion, the website of entertainment, sailing competence and excitement. Clearly you have video production skills that together make this the best sailing channel and from which many can take a lesson or two. Shame Contessa never made many 35 footers.

Sailing is the only "sport" in which I was so much better than my competition. Unfortunately I sunk in a regatta and never sailed again. Your videos remind me of that time and what the more courageous and free version of me would look like.
