Hey! Just so you know if you hit a fatal shot on an enemy sniper (like a headshot or organ shot), that player is dead and cannot be revived by their co-op
Only part I hate about invasion is people will just rage quit or boot you when you invade them, if they didn't want invaded they shouldn't have invasions turned on
Oh that really annoys me too - set the location to South America in settings- they seem to stay involved and they are easy kills too, I am presently up to 201 kills on Axis- good hunting buddy
Exactly. I think invasions is a cool idea and I wouldn't mind ending up on one of these videos but I don't do multiplayer. Plus almost anyone is going to be better at the game than me. So I just disable the option. Honestly, I think a lot of people just don't realize it's a thing.
@@randomlyentertaining8287multiplayer sucks in 5, in all the rest of the SE games it’s brilliant. Rebellion added things to the game that just made it so awful. For example Karl’s Focus ability, as well as that ability also being in multiplayer. I’m questioning if they’re now thinking that Karl is some sort of superhero being able to see through walls or something 😂 while this game is great in some ways. They added things in 5 that really make no sense in adding and weren’t in the games before. Invasion mode was a brilliant idea but could have been done better. In authentic difficulty it does capture that “enemy at the gates feel” but barely anyone plays authentic. A sniper game should force the player to use their own senses of hearing and sight. So giving Karl the ability to see through walls and also adding that into multiplayer is such a brain dead idea
Often times Karl doesn't use Focus. He's got literal wallhacks, but whenever I invade they seem to completely forget they can use that. And as others commented, if you get a kill, that player is dead. They cannot be revived. If you Incapacitate someone, like you were in the tunnel in Guernsey, that can be picked back up. Loving these Axis videos, I've enjoyed it one hell of a lot myself :D
That’s the one thing in SE 5 that grinds my gears. It’s a sniper game and rebellion thought “let’s not force the player to use their own sense of hearing and sight” worst thing is, they also put that in multiplayer as a standard lobby feature. @@highadmiralbittenfield9689Sure in real life not every German was a Nazi, but in axis invasion your objective is literally to kill Karl Fairburne (The good guy)
They should have added a map with lots of germans and allies fighting eachother (like in V2) and it just makes Axis invasions even more chaotic, because now you can kill Karl's Allies, maybe making him fail the mission, something which I feel should have been another aspect of Axis Invasions, making Karl fail an objective because you pretty much sabotage his plans.
I've been a fan of the series since 3, but for some reason never looked at authentic until now. You mentioned replaying the campaign on authentic, I'm doing that now & I really recommend it - It's like a different game.
They definitely went for that feel with the Axis invasion game mode, I also feel like the Axis Sniper skin is kinda supposed to remind you of Konig, with his old looking face. And ofc the first mission in SE: Berlin with the artillery shells dropping in a ruined city. The devs probably saw Enemy At The Gates when it released and said "we need to make a game like this" and now we have this awesome series.
Your videos got me to re-download the game. Had to make space of course, ended up uninstallin a 395GB modpack I had for skyrim that I had refused to uninstall "just in case I want to play it again" (Never did, had not touched it in a year lol)
Imagine Sniper Invasion but with Custom Missions and Maps... surely someone will re-create the Movie "Enemies at the Gates" with the Russian Sniper Vasili :D
*The guy who modeled for the character you choose.* My boss said the same thing....... But also peekers advantage is a thing in most shooter, you never want to be the guy holding the corner, you always want to be the guy pushing.(lag give the peeker a giant advantage to react and shoot)
Totally love the investigation part of it. And I had the exact same kill as your last kill; think I might have missed the first shot too; from the trenches.
Not really that historically accurate though. The whole handing out ammo instead of a gun didn't really happen, you might of gotten a gun that was older than you through.
It always triggered me how you can put a bayonet on a sniper rifle in video games because you could lose your zero on your scope when you try to use it.
Now a sniper should have no reason to ever use a bayonet and if anything the extra weight at the very end of the rifle is the biggest downside for a sniper as it tires you out more when your aiming although it can also act as a counterweight when firing which can help with recoil control but not very much to be worth it or even particularly noticeable.
@@saltybits9954 if you've ever used a rifle with anything extra on the end you'll know exactly why it can be more tiring, extra weight even a small amount (about half a kilo maybe more maybe less depending on the bayonet) on the end of a rifle will feel heavier due to leverage, if you don't have access to a rifle get a cleaning broom and pretend it's a rifle then tape a flashlight or a knife to the end of it and see which one feels a lot heavier when it's up to your shoulder aiming, if your having to stay scoped in unassisted which during ww2 wouldn't be that uncommon this weight would eventually make your arms more tired then if the bayonet wasn't there.

Freakin love this game. And yes, the aim assist marker never made sense to me. Even if you play on easy (ai, hud, whatever...) Its way more satisfying to make a 400m shot, without that dumb marker...
Oh and about your idea in the ending, makes sense, but how would that work with connection and loading times? You ping the host to ask if he's detected: if no = game open. Then you connect because in this case it was "open". But during the loading/connection time the host got detected... You see the problem here? :)
@@rambobannana I dont think it was a massive change, just got rid of some invader items (i.e. less mines / bandages) and i think you have less health or slower regeneration. They did some other little fixes here and there as well
I'm surprised that there's still hud elements for the Invader when you're Invading Authentic games. Good to know if I ever get invaded, even though I never do and never get Authentic games. Though I did turn off cross-play, but don't really feel like playing with random PC players 😅 Also @4:18, how are you zooming in like that?
Funnily enough this is actually kind of realistic, Kreigsmarine infantry were increasingly pressed into Frontline Infantry service as the war began to wrap up. In fact, during the Liberation of Paris, many Kreigsmarine Infantrymen were present in the German Defense of Paris alongside Luftwaffe Infantrymen.
