I had this cd as a kid. I lived in the country and spent a lot of time at my grandma's house. I would often go out in the backyard with a cd player and sing my heart out to this CD. She often had to come outside and tell me to pipe down because I was singing so loud. I recently watched a few episode of the old show and looked this CD up again. She passed earlier this year and now I can not stop crying while I listen to this CD.
I had the CD as well, my grandparents lived in the country and whenever I'd come over and take a bath in their big bathtub I'd listen to this and sing. Both of them have since passed so it's difficult for me to listen to this.
Don't take the Girl by Tim McGraw was my favorite song I always made mom sing to me when I was a kid I now can't listen to without crying it was hard a year after mom passed 3 years this oct I listened to the song and couldn't even finish it 😭
The way all of these songs are embedded in me! I'm in my 30's now and they still give me the same feeling as they did when I was a kid. This, Power Of Love, Carry On and My Only Love are powerful and beautiful.
I always felt so bad for Sailor Jupiter, she's always crushing on these older guys who, inevitably, are already in a relationship. I legit cried for her in this episode.
It's my favorite kind of love song. It could be romantic, and probably was intended as such (esp. since Makoto is a bit of a serial romantic lol), but it could really be any kind of love. Rainy Day Man could be a super close friend, a family member, a beloved pet, a childhood toy... all valid. I think that's why of the DiC dub's character songs, this one stuck with me the most.
The only place I was able to get this CD was through a Mom and Pops Store called Cheapo-Discs. The whole reason was that I enjoyed all their songs from their Abridged Episodes-1-151. And DiC did create a wonderful world by adding this gem.
Well- it's time to watch this series all over again. I used to be in such a rush to grow up when this show was on TV, thinking I'll never actually grow up- and here I am wishing I can re-live these days. Never realized how truly great the mid to late 90's really were, even though I was so young.
Bloom: Being stuck on a rainy day stinks. Stella: Yeah! Flora: We have nothing to do outside. Musa: Except for cleaning up the dorm. Tecna: And putting everything away. Aisha: I know that.
Well all of this was done during the early 90s so there was still a lot of that 80s influence - so that’s what makes the songs so iconic and awesome because even with the fact that sometimes 80s music could be kind of cheesy, there was plenty of it that was just amazing and it helped define that decade. 🎉🎉🎉
@@withjust-a-bite1396 That's not a fact in the slightest. It's a subjective observation based on superficiality. Anything can be sincere given its context.
Could any of you make a video with this song about Donald Duck and his girlfriend Daisy? I know there's some people who are not fans of Donald nor Daisy but I think it would be cute!
