I LOVE how when she died, the fallen columns represented the holy cross, died almost as similarly as Jesus Christ, sacrificing her life for the good of others so they can live on. She will always be Queen even after she has been long gone. RIP 💔🕊👑👸
Please don’t ever compare anime or anything to Jesus Christ. Nothing compares to the torture, pain, and death Jesus died in. Jesus did not die for the good of others but so they can be reconciled with the father and be forgiven of sin when they repent. totally different
For those wondering, several songs from Sailor Moon's soundtrack have recently been discovered to originate from a Copyright-Free Music company called Cmusic. This particular piece is called "Yesterday's Dream." Not only is it beautiful, but the name is tragically apt for Queen Serenity, isn't it? A heartbreaking farewell to an old world.

Sad... In the manga at the end we can read that mother Queen Serenity gave her life forever to Guardian Chaos just to give a chance of hapiness to princess Serenity in a world where all of them live together with the most powerfull silver crystal ever.
@Lilac Yes I know but still my Mangas don't say that. I think it depends on which language your mangas have been translated to. Because I have the older 90's version and the ones that came out a few years ago and they both say different things... more or less. 90's version says that just like you "Sailor Moon" I came here with a perfect star clunching a vessel close to my chest with a similar power like yours. Guardian Cosmos implies that she came as Queen Serenity to the Cauldron . New version: says that one day a bright star " Queen Serenity " came here with an empty vessel of a small star with the same power as you. Don't know what the Japanese version says but that's what mine says.

The song is called Yesterday's Dream and it's a Studio Library music piece that has been used in a couple of anime shows, however it has yet to be released on cd. studio library pieces are music pieces that Toei purchased from commercial production music publishers. My hope is that one day this music piece is released. I heard the full version of this piece and it's a long one but beautiful!
She dies not literally on the cross, but on the foot of a cross - which could imply that she is meant as a servant of the Light that was veiled in darkness on the original cross and that has been resurrected on the third day.

is Queen Serenity even Princess Serenity's bio mother? Didn't she come from a star seed, which have no parents? Then again, Sailor Pluto also came from a star seed but her father was said to be the god Chronos?
