The ending credits for sailor moon has always been my favorite as a kid. I still see myself during lunch hour and after school where im watching this scene. I miss the old YTV if only we can bring it back
Next week, Sailor Moon moves to a new time right after Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog at its regular time. Now get set for adventure and the wonderful world of action and excitement on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, next.
Back when toonami meant something this, Dragonball z, Dragonball, and Thundercats will forever be the greatest toonami shows ever. I always wanted to watch sailor Moon and I would be bummed out when I didn't because I got out of school later.
@@shimmer4771 Toonami came back a decade ago and the block that was very popular in the United States in the late 1990s and early 2000s originally aired on Cartoon Network on weekday afternoons (1997-2004), and then to Saturday nights primetime (2004-2008). The block is now currently airing on Adult Swim (2012-present) on late Saturday nights (around late primetime around 11pm/11:30 pm or midnight @ 12 am).

I remember that too, my cousin show me this show and i love it. I was 9 or 10 when this was out, the dub was not that bad, sure it cheesy but in a good way. I love the music.
@@ricardohuff8774 It was cheesy and it was censored back then when it first premiered on US syndication from 25 years ago. Today is the English dub version's 25th anniversary of the original Sailor Moon that had aired on television (1995-2002) for 8 long years. DiC Entertainment (now known as Cookie Jar Entertainment) was the one who ran the first two seasons of Sailor Moon in the mid 1990s, and Cloverway, Inc. ran the third and fourth seasons in the early 2000s in North America. Until Cloverway Inc. dropped the franchise around early 2000s, and Viz Media picked it up a decade later in the mid 2010s.
me too, i was born in 1991. this is the first magical girl anime show that i ever saw back then when i was at the age of 4 yrs. old (1995) and 5 yrs. old (1996). and if i remember correctly, sailor moon appeared on wb 20 in the morning during school days.
Me too I was born in 1989 watching Sailor Moon when I homesick from School or Doctor's Appointment, MLK Day, President's Day, Spring Break, Good Friday, and Good Monday, Memorial Day, Summer Vacation.
I remember seeing this on ABC Australia back in 1995 when i was 2 years old whenever my cousin babysat me and my brother and me, my brother and i were hooked on it (Despite my brother and i is a boy and My Cousin was a girl). ABC aired it two or three months after the Canadian airing because Canada and Australia are part of the commonwealth.
ThomasFan1945 Productions ViZ Media Sailor Moon is OK..but I like DiC's dub better. Most of DiCs cartoons are what inspired my career as an author and illustrator ya know
In Denver Colorado, it was KWGN channel two, week day mornings at 8 AM, followed by the "Power Block" block. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EzjPQgfZROY.html
Hell I was born in 1991 and remember sailor moon debuting in 1995 long before it hit toonami it aired in the local channel(11) It used to play early in the mornings after flinstones :)
I wonder if that's a channel. I do not know what "The Program Exchange" is. I seen the Sailor Moon credits ending with "DIC" logo, but this is the first time I have seen "The Program Exchange" logo appear after the "DIC" logo. The user name is not listed as "The Program Exchange" either. Am I wrong?
The Program Exchange were a syndicator for television shows. They were most well known for syndicating the old Classic Media catalogue like Bullwinkle and Underdog.
Sailor Moon , Speed Racer, and Samurai Pizza Cat was my first few anime in 1996, the mid 90s....... I have saw some media and some part of Sailor Moon back in 1996 on UPN didnt fully watch it until I would watch the full series in the end of the 1990s and early 2000s.. Yea Viz Media wont bring back the DiC dub anytime soon
Well the DIC version got canceled in 2004. It ran for about 2 seasons until their Adv license deal expired. It first started in 1995. The only possible way to watch it is on DVD, I don’t Think they have it on streaming channels. But now we’ve got the viz media dub which started in 2014.
@AnimePikaGirl I was born in 96 too! I wish i was a born just a couple years earlier because I got into SM when I was about 6 and years old, and that was in 2002-2003, when the Cloverway dub was already aired. I had some of the dolls and VHS tapes along with the Cutie Moon Rod from R, but it seemed like I was the only SM fan around! Although the DiC dub can sound familiar sometimes, cuz of the music, hmmmm...maybe I watched it in the 90s but just don't remember. :)
I was born in 93 and didnt get into Sailor Moon til about .maybe 3rd to 5th grade. I loved the dic dub (even if it was corny at times) Looking back now, I say there are some things they couldve done differently but i understand why they did wut they did
@AnimePikaGirl I was born the same year and all I remember was watching S and SuperS in the early 2000s. Either way it was my first anime, and I didn't even know it was an anime! =)
Sailor Moon Uncut got released. Sadly, Cookie Jar did not do it. Since Cookie Jar did not do it, "Sailor Says" had to be removed, because DIC came up with "Sailor Says." Cookie Jar owns DIC, so it could have got another release in Japan with Cookie Jar putting "Sailor Says" in Japan, and then we get the Uncut along with "Sailor Says." I remember Cookie Jar did the Sonic cartoons, Street Sharks, and Extreme Dinosaurs complete series on DVD and Blu-ray. DIC translated Sailor Moon into English language.
@@bennel3588 Yep? Viz Media took out the Sailor Says segments. Speaking of those, here's a play list! I miss these: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GE5AWSaDbIs.html
Heh, I remembered being so used to seeing those crappy graphics all over not on Sailor Moon, but on some of the nick jr shows that we’re from japan. It’s so surreal to see these shows with their original Japanese credits now.
The Sailor Moon Manga, Crystal, Eternal and Cosmos has an important meaning quote Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the thing you can and have the wisdom to know the difference.
I was born in 2001 but luckily Cartoon Network was still playing Sailor Moon up till about 2005 or six. That’s how I first got into Sailor Moon was on Cartoon Network and an toonami. Looking back, I really don’t like the dic dub that much. But luckily we have Sailor Moon Crystal which is my preferred way of watching Sailor Moon
dragonball z, this(sailor moon), pokemon, and digimon were my first four shows where i started to watch anime back in the 1990s when i was a kid. but i grew up with pokemon, digimon, and dragonball z. sailor moon was one of them the animes i've watched, but i don't know what happened to it.
DiC decided it was gonna be like that. The Japanese had a different ending song but I guess it had to do with marketing. If you dont forget her name you will know who she is by her song.
Guess since they couldn't find a way to use Heart Moving from the original or make a new ending song, they just decided to reuse the song from the opening credits instead.
Haha this was before all these fraudulent kids saying "durr remember watching sailor moon on toonami" Not making fun of toonami since it was a beast(1997-2002) but sailor moon was in the US long before toonami here in new York sailor moon was on channel 11 in the mornings
@@kevinwong6588 oh, so that’s the channel it came on! I could’ve sworn it was WNYW. I remember catching the ending of an episode very early in the morning in the mid 90s. I was hella young, probably like 3 or 4.

Both the original Japanese and also the Spanish version are both very well done. However for those of us who came to know Sailor Moon through this version, it holds a lot of nostalgia and is charming in its own right too.
Actually, it was Optimum Productions that ruined Sailor Moon. DiC published it, but was forced to change Zoisite into a tomboy because parents in the 90s didn't think gays would be a good influence to younger audiences. It was a different time after all, so we weren't used to Japanese stuff and gay culture as we are now. The younger audiences that should watch Sailor Moon are young boys, not little girls. If there's anything to blame for ruining our childhoods, it's the censors and their strict policies.
