Your home turf would be interesting to most of us. You are used to the highlands, castles, lochs, canals, etc but for us it would be all new and exciting. Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland should make for some interesting exploring and add to Nala’s country count! There is also the Scandinavian peninsula that could be explored in the summer. Once Nala has fully recovered and you have had a good rest up with your family please consider exploring closer to home. I hope you both are enjoying your visit with Gran.
To be fair - only Wales, Ireland & Northern Ireland are on Nala’s “unvisited” list As she’s clearly done England & Scotland last year when Dean returned home to visit his Gran & family I know Dean is planning on visiting Wales soon with Nala & I think Leona to plant trees… I don’t know when exactly or where but think it’s set for near Cardiff area (like around Brecon Beacons) but unconfirmed at the time of writing this comment I can’t say anything about either Ireland but yeah at least Wales will be added to Nala’s ever growing listed of visited countries
I paused and read! My sediments exactly as I have no desire to travel like I use to. Between Covid and the power hungry sycophants, joy has almost become non-existant. I along with my 2 girls (Athena & Ava, cats) do our own thing and appreciate all who continue the attempt to pass on joy, happiness, and gratefulness. Thank you Dean and Nala. Cheers!
Important historic events have worn me out. "May you live in interesting times," is supposed to be a curse; I didn't believe it but I do now. So glad to see Dean and Nala again, somehow I missed the last 2 postings, something to enjoy now.

It's nice that you could walk Nala about and even take her to the cafeteria. On BC ferries animals have to stay in the lower deck where there are no amenities, just cars :(

I have the feeling that it would not matter to your fans WHERE you and Nala went, we would all be happy that you shared whatever you could with us....even a cycle around you Gran’s village is a delight for us because we just want you and Nala safe and happy together. Maybe a trek around England till this tragedy in Ukraine gets sorted? Lots of beautiful places and animal shelters in need in our own backyards, that is for sure. The long silence was due to: A: Dean travelling in a van (sorry for the spoiler) & therefore not having any wifi to upload vids B: Nala getting sick as previous comments have mentioned & Dean focussing on Nala’s recovery Also Dean is active daily (usually) on Facebook & Instagram (stories) - as that’s how many of us are aware of this information!
So it sounds like Dean left Spain and headed to Scotland, but unsure why... Then Nala got sick while they were in Scotland. My understanding is that they are still in Scotland and these videos he is posting now of travels that took place weeks ago. So this vlog for instance is not showing yesterday's travels but travels from weeks ago. Is that correct?
@@flok.8317 So when a follower watches both Dean’s real-time Facebook & Instagram stories Vs his RU-vid videos Prior to this… he’d normally allow the RU-vid videos to be about 2 weeks behind - makes sense for a RU-vidr if you record stuff daily etc So Dean whilst in Spain etc said that he needed his knee looked at; so someone he stayed with (will be staying with in a future video) - or a doctor in Spain (can’t remember which!) Arranged for Dean to meet a specialist in Austria (I think?!) Because that would take weeks upon weeks of cycling, Dean opted to rent a van, again 😊 And drive there - all clear from the specialist aka no operation required! So given Dean was basically stuck in mainland Europe & can’t exactly travel eastbound at the moment for obvious reasons He opted to return home - I think because A obviously missed his family B give his knee time to rest C a “holiday” of sorts for him & Nala D his birthday was upcoming That support for Ukraine rally/ protest was dated more or less within days of when Russia (unfortunately 😰) finally crossed the boarders & invaded Ukraine - (26th Feb to be exact) As Dean admitted that being in the van, Nala getting sick etc did delay his RU-vid upload schedule Now he’s doing his best to edit & upload as fast as he can (and get to that approx 2 week window as mentioned) Plus being at home for the time being means he can refocus & replan his journey going ahead, can catch up on any behind-the-scenes stuff for 1Bike1World such as any website stuff or chatting with Leona for example Dean is also currently having a revamp of the bike by his bike specialist Colin (I think his name was) - same guy who custom-fitted the trailer to the bike … such as new handlebars for the bike & a new permanent basket for Nala - something more secure to the bike that’ll last! Plus ideally more shock absorbent/ not as shaky etc for Nala Dean is also considering cycling around Scotland such as the NC500 - which apparently is a great route for cycling as I’m told?! And overall it’s just a nice break from the norm for Dean & Nala! - a much deserved break for both So I write this message as a one of reassurance (spoilers I know & I’m sorry) but hope it helps as we like this to be a community of calm & understanding as I’m sure you definitely are! I am flabbergasted about Ukraine! So what I don't understand is how do the invaders get away with it? So many more people are against it than for it so how has Russia not been stopped in their tracks? Love the scenery on the ferry ⛴. I once saw a video of a guy who took a big ferry like that around Japan. He was on it I think 2 days and had all kinds of things to do. Very interesting and cool!!
