Hey lovelies! Hope you are all well. As it's the new year I thought I would pick up on some healthy/fitness related videos again to get us all back motivated after the Christmas period of eating and drinking everything in sight hehe! This week I wanted to try out a new supermarket so thought I would take a trip to Sainsbury's - I managed to get a coupon as a first time online food shopper that saved me £18 (when you spend £60!). I know there's quite a lot here but I don't do weekly food shops so this will last me a good while! Hope you enjoy! x

I have been making a conscience effort to also add more meat free items into my diet, I am working on becoming completely vegetarian by the end of this year. Coconut Scented toilet roll, how lovely😍. So great that you’re doing a meat free diet where you can... every little helps 💕 I’ve been vegan for 2 years now and it’s definitely a big change but when you have alternatives to help that’s perfect 🌱 Over time you might find it easier to fully transition but right now, if it ain’t broke for you don’t fix it! X

Really nice healthy food haul Laura. I'm sure you will have some delicious meals from this. I think a lot of people are doing Veganuary, so the shops keep selling out of meatfree products. I'm trying to eat meatfree 2 or 3 times a week. I tried Quorn mince for the first time this week, and I honestly think I will swap to this permanently for chilli, lasagne, and bolognese recipes as I've never been that keen on minced beef. I don't think there's any real difference between the fresh and frozen. I prefer the frozen because you can cook with it straight from the freezer with no waste. 👍👍👍

I recently discovered they do frozen peppers and it’s changed my life! My peppers were always going off and they can be fried from frozen! Think they were in Sainsbury’s x

I absolutely love Linda McCartney shredded hoisin duck (I'm vegan) you will love it too im sure! it's amazing in a wrap with spring onion & cucumber with a dash of hoisin sauce 👌 I tend to always shop in my local Morrison's, and I've struggled to get meat free foods recently! I think a lot more people are trying a meat free for the new year & veganuary ☺

Can you show us some recipes when you do them? I’m vegan and trying to eat healthier and would love to see what you make with your meat free stuff. Sounds stupid but I never thought to have just two enchiladas with some salad so I’m going to use this as a dinner option now! X

Sandra Cosgrove Ahhh you can’t not have biscuits in the cupboard for your tea 😭 odd biscuit here and there never hurt anyone ha 😜 ... I don’t eat them everyday just as and when I get a little sweet tooth so it’s all good hehe x

Soooo much plastic babe..... the sweet potato isn’t lasting because it’s packaged and chopped!!! Capsicum/aspara etc... none of this should be packaged!!! Unbelievable. Found chopped onion on the market the other day and that was absolutely so sad!!! Can’t believe you’ve never eaten lentils either - grown up on lentil soup!!!! Also those and chickpeas are what to put in stir-frys instead of meat!!

They ARE fresh (including the banana) - she just chose to put her purchases in individual plastic bags, they don’t come that way. You can get reusable mesh bags from Lidl, I just chuck all my loose fruit & veg in those to carry them home - you can stick the price tags on the outside, for when you go through the checkout. They were about 70p for two or something like that and will last for ages.

@@frugalitystartsathome4889 you can’t pick what you get in a delivery so that of course it’s all packaged and if it’s the environment you’re worried about then don’t get bananas at all because hey food miles. People aren’t going to several shops and markets to get their shopping right now,we’re in a pandemic!
