Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful memories of Rome! It truly is a magical city, filled with history, beauty, and a unique sense of peace. I'm so happy to hear that you had such a fantastic experience 15 years ago. I hope you have the chance to return to Italy soon and create even more unforgettable moments.
Having read of the tradition of walking the 7 churches of Rome on Wednesday of Holy Week, i did it in 2018. It was a great way to learn the city, although the Church of the Holy Cross and St Lawrence both still closed in the afternoon and i think i was just about the only person doing it. Highlight was walking from St Pauls to St Sabastians and down the Appian way to St John Lateran. Confession: i may have used a street bike on a couple of legs :)
