A very nice performance by young Han and orchestra of a fascinating piece of music by that old genie of a composer who gave us the opera,Samson and Delilah. Bravo and thanks for this video!
CAMILLE SAINT-SAENS WAS A CHILD PRODIGY, A REIGNING GENIUS OF HIS TIME AND REMAINS ONE OF THE GREATEST --- OFTEN OVERLOOKED --- COMPOSERS OF THE MUSIC PANTHEON. BRAVO, MAESTRO ---- AND MS HAN!
Souvenir d’Ismaiel , valse canariote .
Of course, in this relatively short fantasia for piano and orchestra, we must have evocations of North Africa But we must recognize that they do not invade the score, Saint-Saens remains faithful to his policy of reserve in his style.
The piano is so perfect, she's got a real mastery of the piece. The orchestra couldn't match her, unfortunately, but my god that was the best performance of this piece by miles. Hamelin is pissing himself 🙌👏
