Great video, many thanks ! It's almost like being there. The prices are ridiculous though... seems like collecting good quality decent size specimens is only for the wealthy these days.
Please, can you put easily readable labels for each of the numerals, so that we can identify them, and better recognize and appreciate them with knowledge in addition to their beauty? Thank you.
Oh, wow I saw some large pieces of unshaped lapis that have that Royal Blue color. Lapis was the mineral that pulled me into mineral collecting. I spent months searching E-bay looking for a large (few pounds) specimen that was deep blue with minimal calcite. I found a five pound piece with a few calcite spots and what may have been some calcite bands but was gouged out. IT does have some small side channels but they don't reveal calcite but bands of pyrite. The front/ back ? has a wide pyrite band that isn't solid along with some calcite mottling. When I saw mottling I mean small splotches that look like art. The reverse side is flat and almost solid deep, deep blue with a few small calcite spots. It set itself apart I immediately asked the seller if he would "buy it now" for $100 he had it at $85 but no takers with a couple days left. I guess I would like to find a large piece of perfect, pure blue Lapis but I don't think I will ever see something like that on E-bay.
do you still need help knowing what it is? if you say around what time it is shown in the video someone else or myself can help you out and if you found it in the land in your country you could say where you are from so we could know what crystal it is maybe
