These players are like pro wrestlers who follow whatever script the league dictates. They will throw the game to the other team whenever the league orders them to. Other times the league just wants a close game and then the moles will allow whichever team is trailing to catch up. Refs are also used to script the games and by now that part is obvious to most fans. The Patriot dynasty was the most scripted hoax in sports history. Most of their teams were of 8-8 quality and were full of average talent. The NBA is very similar and neither of these leagues has emphasized legit competition for decades. In the 1980's pro wrestling showed these leagues how much more profitable sports can be when it's scripted entertainment. These leagues began morphing into the pro-wrestling versions of their respective sports and also developed into billion dollar industries as a result. Real competition can be boring and unpredictable...the best players might not be the best looking or most appealing personalities for marketability. @@jdamah I watched the game live but haven't had time to review it, yet. In short, yes. The tell-tale signs of a rigged game all made their appearance: 1. Saints coverage refused to look back for the ball in the air on a number of plays. 2. Saints quarterback Hill was withheld from the line-up probably a handicapping move to make Bucs victory more likely. 3. No replay review of the Fournette TD reception even though it appeared he may have trapped the ball. 4. Saints TE Cook allows an easy strip fumble while deliberately carrying the ball in an unsecure manner in traffic. (Cook also fails to catch a pass but bats it up in the air for another 4th quarter turnover.) Definitely the script was for Bucs to win.
