You know I NEVER seem to like the newer generation of sopranos and I usually really dislike a lot of the newer offerings of Casta Diva, but there is something striking about this young lady.

This is better than most out there. This is a voice with a ringing chiaroscuro sound, personal timbre, volume and it’s both steely and velvety at the same time. Astounding!

Listen to the dynamic variations of Callas, to all the different colors and shades in the recitative, to the clear word pointing, to the inner agitation and turmoil in her singing. This is a great voice, but it's much more in the tradition of Elinor Ross rather than the infinite artistry of a Callas.
Never thought I’d hear a wonderful soprano that has both chest and high notes! BRAVA! With a voice like this, she needs a better set and staging! She’s amazing!! The true succesor of Caballe and Callas in Norma! Again, BRAVA!
I just hope that someday I can see Saioa Hernandez singing Norma too... It's my favourit Opera and I never saw a singer do it as well Live (of course I have at home the recordings of Callas and Caballé, but from the sopranos alive nowadays, Saioa seems to be the Best Norma alive in my ears and eyes!) Wonderful performance. Her voice is heavenly! Her chest voice...By the way, what a powerful control and technic. And I have to stay that the audience was horrible!!!!! People should think twice before going this kind of places!

I'm glad to see there are still people who appreciate released voices and full singing. Please, consider visiting bad singers' (modern and old) videos and explain why they're just bad. I imagine most of you wouldn't even bother to listen to them, let alone comment, but those singers are actually taking over theatres
¡Qué interesante! Voy a estar atento por si la puedo escuchar en vivo. ¡Puede que no haya muerto toda esperanza de escuchar un cantante decente en el teatro! Me gustaría saber si Hernández es consciente de la diferencia que marca con sus colegas contemporáneos.
Seguramente lo sabe, pero lo importante es que lo sepamos nosotros jajaja....por fin una verdadera prima Donna de la ópera para disfrutar...en los últimos años me he conformado con escuchar a hermosas modelos que además cantan ....esta Saioa es otra cosa.

Signora, Lei canta in un modo molto interessante con la tecnica vocale oggi purtroppo perduta nella maggioranza dei cantanti. Mi piace la Sua espressione, la voce di petto forte e la Sua sensitivita'. E' il canto vero. Brava! Questo Oroveso non mi piace affatto. :( Saluti cordiali!

Hace muchos años no oia una voz tan maravillosa como esta, a decir verdad desde la Caballe en 1965. Tiene ese tono pastos de las cantantes mediterraneas y mucho gusto para cantar. Oigo en ella tonos de la Tebaldi en su epoca gloriosa. No me explico como el Met, San Francisco, Covent Garden y todos los teatros del mundo no la tienen en su nomina y mas me cuesta pensar que tampoco este en el Liceo ni en el Real. Sera que no canta en el liceo por no ser de Cataluña? Que tristeza!
Porque prefieren a las mediáticas aunque tengan la voz destruida. Lo que se debe hacer es presionar en las páginas de estos teatros para que la incluyan.
Más que Tebaldi se aprecia la influencia de Callas ( hasta en su repertorio hasta donde he podido ver el día de hoy que gracias a un comentario la he descubierto), no solo canta y tiene una bella voz, si no una pasión por la misma música y su forma de abordarla, sin "delicadezas", tomando al toro por los cuernos como se dice...

I agree it not a mistake, it's an option in the score and for me it offers variety as a way of changing up embellishments in the 2nd verse of arias from the Bel Canto era
