So many morons treat cold storage as put it in a fridge/freezer and then wonde why it tastes terrible. The expense, however, is just cynical marketing. I'd think Popeye at least *knows* what physics are but they just don't apply to him even in other dimensions. Popeye's advantage is that, existing from pen-n-ink physics, it would take something like Judge Doom's (Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) barrel of Dip. Other than that as a potentially effective attack, Popeye is a Reality Bender of the highest caliber, right up there with The Mask or Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet.

The only time Popeye has been canonically injured was when he lost his eye in the comic strip(a trait that may or may not be carried over to other media as he will sometimes open that squinted eye). He lost it on purpose, feeling he had done something so wrong he had to be punished & let his opponent knock it out of his head. In that regard Popeye can only be hurt if he allows it.

It's funny people say they should redo it because saitama has new feats, but don't realize that would change nothing. Toon force characters are as strong as they want themselves to be and can do whatever they want. No matter how much stronger saitama got, he would never win unless he became a toon himself, and even then, it might just be a tie.

Ngl, I feel like people forget toon characters can just do whatever they want because they feel like it. Characters like bugs bunny have full-on and just become the artist of their own stories and even have talked to the artist to change things. No matter how much stranger saitama gets, simce popeye has done things like punch. The guy drawing him he could just go outside the fourth wall and erase Saitama. For those who are wondering why Popeye got so annoyed, look closely at the price tag, it's a reference to Saitama being stingy with money. The price is 15.00 Yen, and 1 Yen is actually less than 1 Cent, so at that price you could buy 7 can's for 1 lousy American Dollar. If you could sustain yourself on nothing but spinach, you could eat 2 can's per day for less than 10 Dollar's per month.

It is not recommended to eat 2 cans per day though. Spinach is low in calories and only high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Too much of it can cause bloating and kidney problems. A single can would be three cups of raw spinach and reasonable to be eaten every other day. 2 cups per day is typical daily allowance. Popeye seems to keep a can only for daily emergencies because he is 1) already very strong without it 2) he knows it isn't necessary to eat more than that.

Not sure why you're reading that period as a post-zero decimal, which, from what I can tell, is never used in worldwide currencies when both points are zeroes. From what I understand, most currencies (but especially US, which is where this was animated) put periods/decimals every two spots in on a price tag, so the can cost 1500 yen, not 15 yen. It would have cost 13 dollars per can, which makes more sense with the animation joke and Saitama's usual behavior.

My head canon is that both of them in the end find out they are equals and popeye asks saitama why he did not buy spinach and he would tell him that it’s too expensive so popeye give him infinite spinach so that he can eat it every day. The end.
