Great job boys some of the comments say to edit but don't thats what makes your chanel so good and cpt blatz your are what we called in the Army a great Spaner
Thanks R. And dont worry. We always say that we dont edit anything and we dont. And that is the point of this channel. The ultimate RC truth. We dont pretend to be the best RC pilots but we sure know how to have fun in this great, great hobby. And we always say the truth as we see it. From an amateur point of view. We just love this and to spend this time together not always just at work. Big salute to you my friend. Its becouse of the comments like yours that makes us going on on this crazy ride throu RC world. Thanks again and see you soon, Robert
Guys you have to be careful of those nitro fumes you need an exhaust fan when you run engines inside. We don't want to lose you .great video.Keep up the good work boys.
Oh yeah D, it was just crazy. Its good thing that I didnt stopped the camera too soon ;) Even I have watched this video many times. I just love the end ;) Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
It's not edited because most of us are in the shed with the lads, enjoying the banter and make the time to be with them. Visited Slovenia twice, University of Llubjana, brilliant place to go. Good luck lads from down under.
Great video guys! Much respect to Capt.Blaz, I have never seen anyone cough out so much exhaust smoke!! Robert how lucky you are to have your brother to share the laughs with! We love your channel!! Cheers from Kalamazoo,Michigan USA
You guys are great! The chocking and gagging and laughing at the end was hilarious. I haven't flown my nitro decathlon in over 10 years. She's on the table now being worked on. You have inspired me to get her back up in the sky. I cannot wait. Keep em coming guys.
Thats the spirit Matt. Its not always perfect with nitro engines but when they work well its just perfect experience and thrill to fly a plane with four stroke engine. Keep me informed about the Decathlon. Captain Blaž aslo have one and he is loving it. Great bird. Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Hahahaha cut the camera I'm going to throw up!! You two are gold!!!! Well done Captain Blaz, the engine looks and sounds great. Pilot Robert you have me laughing listening to you cracking up near the end. I have to keep watching,Cheers from Australia
Dude ! That engine must have some major torque !! I'd love to see how much pressure it can develop with a three blade cruse prop !! Awesome work Capt. !!
Oh yeah my friend. We have decited that we will edit nothing and that is it. What you see is what you get. We just turn on the camera and what ever happens we show it all. Big salute from Slovenia.
Hallo Boys, your love for the hobby is viral! Your simplicity and naturalness attitude are great and you give me such a magic inspiration to keep practicing and improving this Wonderful Hobby. Thank you very much! Ok Yeahhhh!!!!Salute Captains
Well thanks D for such kind words. We just love this hobby so much and we just want to show the world how much fun this can be. Oh yeah... Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
Gr8 to see your subscribers are going up guy's.. Well deserved for all the time and effort you two gentlemen put into your channel. I'm glad it started at the end ..As always your persistence payed off. Over and out from the Land Down Under.
Thanks D for all your support. We really enjoy filming and talking to you our dear, dear viewers and subscribers. This is just great... Be well and see you soon my friend, Robert
Great job on repairing that engine Capitan Blaz,it looks and sounds awesome! Hey Robert, you guys are having way too much fun, great video! The smoke was great, reminded me of growing up in the mid '70's!! Cheers!
I was a teenager in the mid 70's and we used to go to rock concerts in St.Louis,Missouri, which was across the Mississippi River from where I lived. The whole place was as smokey as your shop was,but the smoke was not from a 4 stroke engine it was from everybody smoking that funny tobacco stuff!! Oh yeah, the good old days!
To start Saito without pressure from muffler manual recommends open needle to 3 and 1/2 turn. That was working for my old Saito FA 45 MKII. It start nicely when it gets fuel sucked in.
Well worth the wait! What a BEAST of an engine and Cpt.Blaz kept all his fingers! Well Done ✔👊 Please never change your content or edit it. It's what makes your channel. No BS, no fakery.
That motor is GORGEOUS!!! Capt Blas is a mechanical genius. Hearing that motor run was well worth the wait even though you guys were smoked out and Capt Blas almost threw up again. Those darn snow flies. LOL. I salute you both for your dedication and love of the hobby.
The snow flies are heck to deal with I have heard! We don't too much of them here locally thank heavens, just the darn horse flies in the summer and they bite!
I was once employed as an outside machinist. We were working on a small Coast Guard boat. I was instructed to make three gaskets. two corks, and a rubber. Two Corks and a Rubber. Sounds like a song title.
Captain Blaz you are really good with nitro engines. Looks better than new and sounds incredible. Great work and don't edit the videos people are learning from you guys. Salute to you guys.
I have a Saito FA220 which, like your 180, is a real beast. I use a TY1 high torque starter (with two 4S Lipos) which starts it fine but anything less, forget it! I hand start many of my engines but would not want to start the big Saitos by hand, they have a real kick - you're braver than I am! Mine starts fine but I have a silencer with pressure nipple which helps and may explain why yours was reluctant to start. However, these are wonderful engines, mine is in a Black Horse Models Hawker Typhoon. Grahame
Hey Grahame. Like you said Saito engines are just perfect. And really hard to start with hands. Iam always scared when we start them like this. We will have to buy stronger starter for large engines. Do you have video of yours Hawker? It must be great to see it and hear it at low flybys... Thanks for stopping by my friend and see you soon, Robert
Ha ha ha, awesome. You should have thrown up on the video! Nice job getting that Saito going, it's a beautiful engine! Thumbs up and greetings from Canada! Cheers, Bob
Hey Bob. This was just great. I almoust craped my pants watching Captain Blaž. The best way ever to end the video ;) Be well and see you soon. Big salute to Canada from Slovenia, Robert
Wow! .. I've never seen anyone attach a tank vent to a crankcase vent like that and it made it f*ing work!... I learned something new today, thanks guys
The manufacturer recommends not to do this because that's the breathing hole for the engine, but I guess this engine is big enough to supply substantial crankcase pressure!
SIGNING OFF FROM SMOKE OF SLOVENIA! 😂 VERY FUNNY. I MISS THIS VIDEO REACTION A LOT WHEN YOU GUYS ASSEMBLE OR DISASSEMBLE AN ENGINE. SIMPLY THE BEST. 👍👍 HOPEFULLY TO HEAR THAT TURBINE ENGINE SOON. 🌈❤🧡💛💚💙💜🌈🇲🇾 THANK YOU SIR!
Love the ideal sound on this engine! I went to an estate sale last week and got myself a brand new saito 150 and a used OS FS 52 fitted in a biplane, and a bunch of other stuff, for $200, the saito for sure is brand new! No box though, i will sell it on ebay to recover all the cost. The OS 52 I will keep. 4 strokes are the best, love the sound, beautiful japanese engines, they made them to perfection!
Robert and Blaz, I'm steadily catching up with your video's after subscribing to your channel last month. Please don't be tempted to edit your video's they are fantastic "warts and all". As mentioned in other comments the final minute or so are just video gold, I just laughed so much with you. Without doubt the best and most entertaining RC channel on the net.
Thanks my friend for such kind words. And dont worry. We dont edit nothing from the beginning of this channel and it will stay like this as long as we will film this great hobby and our tests of the planes. Big salute to you from Slovenia, Robert
This is so interesting watching Capt Blas work his magic He is the Nitro motor whisperer To those who say edit the videos I say leave em the way they are Why would you edit this.........it's perfect the way it is and I laughed my ass off at the end. 😂😂😂😂 You two make me laugh Keep em coming 👌
Thanks C for such kind words. And dont worry. From the beginning the point of this channel is no editing. What you see is what you get. How can we say that we are telling the truth if we start to edit our videos. No way... We always search for the truth in this great, great hobby... Stay well my friend and see you soon. And like you said, the end was the best. I almoust craped my pants watching Captain Blaž ;) Greetings from Slovenia, Robert
Hey Tim, we wont. If we start to edit, how can we then say that we are telling the truth? No editing is the point of this channel. Oh yeah... Stay well and see you soon my friend, Robert
Great video guys as always but this time you made me laugh so much with the smoke and tears in Capt. Blaz's eyes. This was fantastic. It was worth waiting for that smooth sound but maybe you should start your engines outside next time. XA..XA..XA.....
Hey D. This was just crazy ;) I almoust craped my pants watching Captain Blaž. The best end of the video ever ;) We really didnt know that it will be so much smoke this time ;) Be well my friend and see you soon, Robert
I look back fondly at all those times my wife came in to my shop while I was doing this, and in a sweet voice, filled with love and affection would say,......FOR GODS SAKE, JERRY, OPEN A DAMNED WINDOW !!! YOU CAN'T BREATHE IN HERE!!! She's an angel. 🤢😂
I have built many many motors mainly 4 stroke methanol Go-kart race engines and that is a very good and very smooth motor ,,it really does just need a good run ,,,great job Captain Blaz ,,,,
Great job Captain Blaz I new you get it running you guys rock keep up the good work Robert your laughter is priceless you guys had me laughing an throwing up at the same time.Over and out your friend John
You two almost choked to bring us this video, such dedication! I noticed the bench is on castors (wheels) maybe with another engine fitted it will fly? You could film the maiden flight :O) Lol, great work getting the engine running so sweetly.
Oh yeah, like you said B. The table was actually moving when we throtle up. I wanted to film that but I just forgot with all the excitement. But it was just the best end of the video with all that smoke. It was really hard to breathe inside. But we had so much fun ;) Cheers, Robert
Very good to know my friend. I share your love for nitro engines also and soon i will be getting my social security and have been looking heavily on eba and intend to bid on as many as i can and repair and sell and keep the ones i like to use on planes. Often there are lots of engines that go for under 100.00s. That is one reason i have such an interest in your test stand. I like it better than any i have seen so far. That is why i ask for the information on it and would be willing to pay for such information. It has a very good design. I am a good fabricator so acquiring the materials and building it with something to go by without an engine in it would be great. Your mechanical intelligence and fabrication experience is very evident. Im so glade to see Robert allowing you to speak more about the engines and what you have done. Please keep sharing and giving the information on the parts you used and what you had to do. Videos are getting not only more entertaining but also more informative and interesting. Thankyou to the both of you. By the way y'all need to get an exhaust system and don't edit. Thats what makes y'all the best. Hope y'all are okay.
Hey D, good to hear that you love nitro engines too. Its just great to hear them roar. Oh yeah... And dont woryy, we dont edit anything. If we will edit, how can we then say that we are telling the truth... Be well my friend and good luck with your engines. Cheers, robert
Hey Joanne. Iam always scared when he starts his engines. And this is really a beast to start. But it was great and the end was perfect ;) Cheers, Robert
I enjoyed this, I must admit, and what an excellent lesson in why NOT to run engines in confined spaces. I tried it in my small workshop with a .40 Thunder Tiger, my first engine... it immediately set off the smoke alarm and just about choked me.
It was just crazy David with all the smoke at the end. even I almoust throw up. But it was great and the baby was running again. Oh yeah... Stay well and see you soon, Robert
Very good! Love that power house Saito. Those fumes can get ya bad. Open the Doors and use a fan. I'm pretty sure nitro fumes has something to do with my lung issues.
Yup, it needs the muffler for back pressure, to supply pressure into the fuel tank, so fuel will easily pull into the carb, I salute you captain bloz eh!
Sometimes after you rebuild your motors they just a little off till they reset all parts in the correct places...15% nitro and fresh fuel and glow plug makes it a bit easier..!!! you must do break-in again if you change many parts..gr8 job blaz !! never give up..
Lean the low end a little blaz. Turn the brass adjustment screw untill its flush with the plastic housing. Then make only small adjustments from there, Only 1mm adjustment at the time.
This was hilarious HEY! Please never, EVER, edit your videos! Hey Blaz, we need to hear more "Hey's" from you sir. :) Robert your enthusiasm is GOLD. Your channel is very unique because you actually show the trials and tribulations of our hobby, all with a "live" feel. Big Salute to you guys! UHH OH YEAH HEY almost 3k! Awesome.
I really like the Saitos. They seem reliable, easy starting, and trouble-free. If I had a place to fly, I would try to use them. Such beautiful little works of art! Thanks for sharing. Edit... What is the dripping from the Saito? If it is a fuel leak, maybe the Saito is sucking air. See you flying soon!
