One small problem, you are checking the timing when triggering the sensor, the spark does not occur until the magnet passes the hall sensor, you are not at 30 degrees at all. If you don’t believe me put a plug in the wire.
The video is correct. For single fire ignitions, ie without an indexing magnet, Using the rcexl timing device, it is as the magnet LEAVES the sensor. For multi cylinders , ie. with an indexing magnet, it is timed, Using the rcexl timing device, as the magnet APPROACHES the pick up sensor. If you don’t believe it, check out rcexl instructions !
Look at the position of the sensor pick up when each cylinder is being checked and you will see that all 3 magnets are being used for their respective cylinders. It would be impossible to check the timing on all 3 cylinders with the same hub magnet !!!!
I have the FG-60 and have bench run it for over a hour. I followed the instructions to the letter. I have temperature sensors on all cylinders and find that number 3 cylinder keeps dropping off. Is there anyway I can make these changes without having to send the engine to you ?
