Sajid Javid says he will 'never risk losing integrity' during PMQs resignation speech

The former health secretary Sajid Javid made a personal statement during Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday (5 July) following his resignation as Secretary of State.
Numerous ministers offered their resignations to Boris Johnson, beginning on Tuesday night (5 July).
The prime minister's leadership is in jeopardy after many letters of resignation cited a loss of confidence in his premiership.
"There's only so many times you can turn that machines on and off before you realise something is fundamentally wrong", Javid said.

Sajid Javid is devoted to our country. When he left Deutsche Bank, he turned his back on an annual salary of about £3 million. The Evening Standard reported that leaving his finance career for one in politics would have seen Javid take a 98% pay cut!

Yeah because he's been placed to bring in deregulation across the financial sector and will collect the profits on the back end when he rotates out of government back into the private sector. He already sold off huge chunks of the NHS to the client portfolios of Deutsche. Jesus, do you honestly think he did that because he wants to serve people? 😆😆😆

That was a speech and he has hit the nail on the head. Not only have the Conservatives lost faith from the public in themselves but in the system. I have been homeless under this government and suffered from bad health that didn’t need to happen. I was told by letting agencies I needed to pay 42 weeks deposit to be able to rent and I have been let down by the CCG system implemented in the NHS, dealing with, often conceited, business men and women with the title of doctor. There is now a rent deposit cap but like I say after years of homelessness and I still have bad health that’s even worse more recently as is the service for getting actual medical investigation and treatment. The little they have done in our interest is just that and far too late.

I don't know much about your situation. This country does not help its own people, while there is housing for war victims whose countries are destroyed by the west. You sound totally educated. Surely you could work as an English language teacher in a nice country such as Greece, where the sun shines every day. The sunlight is crucial for our bodies/morale. The Greek climate & the Mediterranean diet will do you tons of good. Greek people are some of the most friendly and genuine people! Wishing you well.

He became Health Minister, and he opened up everything far too quickly! He has left the extremely vulnerable, even more vulnerable by taking away the label. And now to get a test it costs an arm and a leg. He had to resign because he was a rubbish Health Minister. He looked completely lost in that role. I think before any Minister gets these high roles in Government, they should do a 2year course/ on the job training. Because Britain has become a joke to the rest of the World.
