Sal must have been an amazing person because that convoy says RESPECT

I don't know how I came across this beautiful tribute to this gentleman. But it brought tears to my eyes at the end. My condolences to his entire family. My heart goes out to them. Prayers are sent as well. Beautiful video. I just can't get over watching it truly amazing. Wow just Wow Convoy at their best. Ya'll rocked it. RIP Sal C.

Ladies and gentleman. We, the truckers of North America have gathered here and drove today, to commemorate the life, of a dear friend. Sal Castiglione. He wasn't just a friend, he wasn't just a trucker, he was someone who we called family. He showed us what trucking is all about. He will forever live on, even after we draw our last breath, and after our rigs let out a last puff of diesel smoke. Rest in peace Sal. Put the hammer down and never stop.

Thanks for the video it was heart touching. I have a story to tell about this. I'm a truck driver for a local company and a huge Mack Trucks fan. Many months ago i was in Instagram looking thru a bunch of pictures of truck and Sal's red mack superliner pop up and i said to my self " dam i wish i can drive that truck like that one day". Not knowing who truck was that. I saved it in my phone and show it to my dad. He told me how nice it was. My dad passed away in june 6 of cancer. While i was dealing with the death of my dad i saw the truck again thru Instagram. Didn't realize that the owner Sal died a few days afer. I cry my ass of because i remember that day i show that truck to my dad not knowing that sal was going thru the same. All i want to say is my thoughts and prayers to the family, i wish i would of met sal in person. Sounded like he was a great person to meet

Thats how a legend should go out. I've only been driving trucks for 10 years but ive been a trucker my whole life, my mom is still a trucker and my grandmother was for 41 years and i want this for her. These old school truckers are the last of a dying breed they deserve this. RIP SAL 🙏

That is absolutely incredible all the effort that went into commemorate Cal. I personally don’t know him, but apparently he was an amazing person to have that many people care enough to attend his graduation party. RIP

This what the trucking industry is all about, helping those in need. There may be a lack of respect toward truck drivers and what they do, but they still have a family to come home to. People need to realize that with out truck drivers we wouldn't have the world that we live in and this world we will be a whole lot different without truck drivers like Sal C. RIP Sal C.

this one of the saddest thing i have seen. My father was a trucker driver over 40yrs i grow up on those big rigs i have met a lot of truckers over the years. When my father passed away coming home from a trip i wished he could have had that kind of set off and good bye or as my father use to say "chow for now". Truckers are not appreciated or respected like they should be.. RIP Sal hope you get to meet my father up there... RIP Crazy Cat / Flying Brian

rip sal this is why i want to become a truck driver even if its not driving a semi ive been looking at hot shot trucking, theres just such a brother hood in the industry. makes me remember my buddy ryan who passed away just under 4 months ago now. we had a 15 mile memorial ride with full police escort for 150+ pickups and dirtbikes and quads he raced motocross and loved his diesels.

Truckers are a part of the backbone of America and I thank GOD for them.

All I could think while watching this is that scene from smoky and the bandit where the memorial service was driving past Buford and he said damm he must have had a lot of friends

Trucker's prayer I did'nt know Sal C. but he must have been well loved and respected to have this kind of a turn out for a memorial, take care all of my truck drivin brothers and sisters. First I want to say, what a great tribute and such heartfelt words from you. This video had me in tears, and is by far one of your best. What a great way to remember Sal C. He was a true friend who would give the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. I'm glad to have met you personally even if only once and I completely appreciate what you do to highlight the trucking industry and more importantly, the truckers who tirelessly work hard just to provide for their own families, let alone families that they don't even know. I just finish watching the memorial procession for a fallen brother truck driver Sal C. It was the most moving experience I've ever seen on video. I can't even imagine how you felt Chris making this video for Dominic Sal's brother. It must have been overwhelming but in a good way of a sense that you agree to make this video. The amount of fellow truck drivers and owner operator that participated in the convoy was awesome and took this special moment to pay there respects to a man that was very well liked and loved by everyone. State, local and county law enforcement that participated and took the time to escort the convoy for Sal C. and family, I salute you all to make it happen. What an amazing video Chris. I'm a West Coast trucker, never met Sal. But still, seeing this has me in tears. The amount of respect this man had in the industry, can't be put into words. Just by the sheer size of the convoy, the comments that were said while rollin down the highway, shows us all, a glimpse to the man that he was. Everyday on these long highways, 2 lane country roads, dirt/rock pit haul roads, logging roads and goat trails we travel, we all know the price we pay to drive truck, keep the country moving forward and provide for our families. We also know that too many of us don't make it home. All we can do is, do our best, be safe, and get home at the end of the trip. With Sal being just 3 years older than me, really gets me thinking. I don't know how he passed, but it still hits me that it's a possibility that I may not make it home. But it doesn't change the love I have for driving. I can only hope that when my time comes to hit the endless highway to paradise, that I get a send in this fashion. I'd love to shut down the 405 in LA at 8 am on a Monday for a truck convoy on my way out. Thank you for doing this video, thank you to the Castiglione family for asking you to do it. I saw his beautiful truck passing me two times in VA while I was southbound on I-95 headed to GA a couple of years ago. I never knew the man but RIP Sal C you obviously were loved, respected, and left a huge impression. One badass Big Red MACK ya got there Sal! I hope it stays on the road, but if not Iowa 80 museum or the Mack museum would be a great place to preserve it.

In all my 70+ years I've seen a lot of emotional, heart-felt displays of love and friendship, but this tops the list. Sal was obviously one very fine man. And, this outpouring of so many truckers will surly be treasured by the Castiglione family for ever. Also, the support of the NY State, county and local police on this scale was fantastic. It's not often or easy to shut down this part of Long Island. Thanks to BigRig Videos for memorializing this event.

This is wonderful that this man was well thought of. Now All you fellowTruckers if you all can come together for a Trucker seem like you sure come together about all the unfairness in the trucking game from big companies to the Dot laws were it pushing so many out and can't make money . The job is hard and Demanding but not less Money, benefits many families are Hurting. If you Guys can do this then think about what you can have. Remember they are trying to push you out with new people from theses trucking schools. But this this showed a lot of Love .
