Artie had so many failed jokes I ignored on my Artie love phase. Now I’m judging him alot more closely and he has ALOT of bad jokes and I don’t think he’s as clever as I once thought he was.
This is a great example of how brilliant stern was back in the day when even though he was about to rip Sal apart he gave him the $500 beforehand. sounds insane but its pretty great way of softening the blow cause he knows how sensitive Sal is but at the same time he had to tell him off like a child 🤣
I remember hearing that Sal's wife didnt listen to the show, basically for this reason. She didn't want to hear the creepy stuff Sal was doing. I bet she heard about this though.
Hi - to the channel owner - Chip, forgive me if I've asked this elsewhere but it's important to me - I wondered if you had a clip around the (K-Roq/Jackie) era (I think) where a drunk guy calls in and confesses to being erotically obsessed with his step-daughter (it's totally legit), and the mother is out of town, and said step-daughter - whose like 16, clearly attractive and who has a boyfriend, which aggravates the hell out of this guy - is in the shower. The bf also happens to be black, which inflames the drunk step-father even more for some reason, and she stayed with him the night before. Howard tries at all costs to keep the guy on the line, as he's getting drunker and talking in increasingly alarming ways about what he wants to do to the girl (he even suggests tying her up on the lawn outside, as a means of 'protecting her' from himself, but clearly this is just part of his twisted sexual fantasy). Howard insists on talking to the girl when she's out of the shower - which he eventually does - and demands she goes to stay with her boyfriend or a relative, and to just get out of the house asap. She is disbelieving initially, but slowly grows aware of the gravity of the sitch and need to get out sharpish. The guy is clearly demented and slurring, and salivating over the poor girl. It's one of those legendarily gripping segments. I remember it vividly, like the time the serial killer 'Clay' called in. Or that gut who'd decapitated his gf whilst on acid and crack. Almost as chilling. Not sure there would be video of it, but audio for sure, as I've heard it several times on RU-vid in the past (tho can't find it for shit now). If by chance you have it, would be grateful to hear it again...and I'm sure your other subscribers would. Was one of those Stern gems...
