You are very right. they give away the Country's money that belong to the people as if it was theirs. In Venezuela Hugo Chevez Gave away, stole, let his family and friends steal 900 Billions US $ that have never been acounted for
@@peterlewis7228 No. Russia's case is even better. But Cameroon in one of the worst. If you make the ratio GDP/population of Russia and compare it to Cameroon's, you'd see how poor Cameroon is. And despite the country's poverty, the president has the audacity to get paid a 600 thousands dollars salary per year.
Harry Truman and oddly Calvin Coolidge and Woodrow Wilson were the poorest Presidents in America, indeed Truman was impoverished for most of his life and politics was essentially his "day job" in that after his Presidency he was essentially unemployable due that Secret Service policies wouldn't allow him to live a normal life (for example when you become President you essentially lose your right to drive an automobile or use public transportation), anyway, because of this and that Truman was essentially below the salt, Congress specifically made a law to give former presidents a pension to keep Truman on his feet
Xi gets paid $22K a year? Haha! He's earned billions of dollars in his years of rule. Same with Putin. Vietnamese President gets $8K a year? 🤣 Try tens of millions of dollars per year, if not more. Most of the people on this list actually earn many many many times more than the listed figures.
@@anakinskywalker5034 one of the core reasons why Russia attacked the country its country is being run by bums, should have voted for a more capable leader than a comedian🤦♂️
Things to know in addition apart from the annual salaries: They do not pay rent/laundry/transportation/food/utilities such as water-internet-electricity-/clubs fees / tv cable / shoes/cloths and much more things like representative expenses /executive cards/personal driver salary exemptions / Maid services /free medicine, discounts to everything if they spend money or no charge at all etc plus all they have another income not declared and commissions and many of them money under table and overseas deposits and stop counting....
Those dollars will be a lot of money when it’s translated into their each country’s currencies though. A lot of people don’t know this, people that travels knows how the currency exchange rates works. If you have $10,000 to $15,000 you can travel to some countries and enjoy luxurious vacations.
For a complete understanding it would be great if you put some further informations: the situation of prices in the countries. Most kings have also to pay the staff of their households and bureaus.
Hahhahaha so tax payers ,must pay for the kings servants 👏 👏 👏 Bravo And to think that most countries with monarchies called themselves democracies and are supported by all the capitalist countries ,and their servants wich are the whole countries they "owned" follow those imbecils like rock stars Unbelievable
Also many of these, almost everything is provided for them except for food and personal items. So even though it appears a meager salary the total package of benefits could be in then hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars.
In Finland our president Sauli Niinistö lowered his salary when he was elected because he wanted to save tax payers money. Formerly the salary was 200 000€/year.
That makes very little difference overall as he has additional allowances for travel and other work related costs. You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for that kind of political theater. If he REALLY cared about saving tax payers money, he'd be slashing unnecessary government spending. No leader dares to do that kind of thing these days out of fear that he will be pushed out of office by the political establishments. Creating useless government jobs for political show are what career politicians rely on to stay in power. Trump donated his salary back to the government which practically meant he didn't draw a salary during his term. The US federal government spends excess of $5 trillion dollars per year so what Trump did made very little difference overall lol.
That‘s quite vain and populistic. The sad truth is that politicians are paid to little to attract the right people to the job but good enough to attract the wrong type.
Zelensky: 11, 000 yet he is worth over 25 million and has two incredible villas in Italy! Plus, his wife just spent 40,000 shopping in Paris! Pays to have all that money pouring in.
correct, those are prime ministers aka head of government, but not head of state. both countries retain a governor general as local person for the far away head of state king Charles III.
While this list is not accurate but its very interesting that kings/sultans/emperors ( all hereditary) gets far more higher salaries than elected officials .... just because their blood is royal 😂😂
That's one of the gaps here. First: life standard and prices in a country. Second: what has the president/king/emperor/sultan to pay with that salary. I can only tell about the dutch king (Willem-Alexander). He has to pay for his staff, some castles (some are in posession of our overnment, but some re private. I don't want to say he is a poor ma, but it really makes a difference if you don't have to pay for anything at all while president or you have. That's one of the faults in this list.
@@CosmosZeroX The numbers for Putin and Xi are official salaries, however they will also earn money other ways. Either due to corruption or business dealings. Also as heads of state the government pays for everything for them, and that is not included either.
@@Maihquel Our king won't have to pay for his staff or his royal residences. It's still part of work that the office of the royal household has to reimburse all expenses with money received from the country's budget.
1. Some of these guys could barely afford the suits they're wearing, so clearly they have (cough cough) other means of support. 2. It's good to be the King.
Ok, someone explain this to me because frankly I have no idea: If the president of Laos (which should be one of the richest persons in the country) only earns 1630$ a year then after a few years in working my own country I can move there and live comfortably for the rest of my life?
Reality, my salary as a minimarket waiter in Indonesia is even greater than the salary of the president of Laos. I feel like a sultan. The difference is he can be corrupt, while I can't.
That is why Taxs exist but for some countries, the tax was less or none and it's different depend on what country was that. In reality, that is what happens in high FDI, export country... You can employee more workers in a country with mainly exporting
@@coops1992 not as much as its GDP per capita might suggest though. As so many overseas businesses claim they are in Ireland for tax purposes, but that money doesn't end up as wages for Irelands population. The tax certainly helps the government though and that will work its way in to the population eventually..
We dont have a president in Switzerland, we have 7 „Bundesräte“. Ignazio Cassis is the „Bundespräsident“ but he doesn’t really have more power than the other 6
In the meantime a useless kick a ball footballer weekly wages ARE 10 / 20 times HIGHER than the annual salary of a PM - - - - - noone seems to mind though
Entertainers always get more than those who are really productive. I've seen the lists of the richest people in the world recently: singers and actors get more than those people whose business is construction, pharmacy and agriculture.
developed or not doesn't affect the salary of the leader and with the same amount of money, you can afford a different value from different country. by saying developed, what do you mean by saying that? A highly export country or import country, maybe both?
It's called corruption. If you look very close some African countries spend millions in politicians but not a single penny for their population. But for the rich countries is ok. Keeping the corruption allow an easy acces to their ressources.
Just a little detail, not all countries have the same political system or a president run the state, so in some cases you need to show the prime minister (or whoever is the leader) salary
It's certainly a headspin seeing how many nation's leaders are paid less than my country's average wage. More of a headspin how many have less pay than my country's base pay for an entry level public service position. Like even outsource is roughly the range that Pakistan's President is paid apparently. It does cost significantly more to live here though. Property prices in/near cities are above a million even for a craphole that would be cheaper to knock down and rebuild.
If you payed me 2000 euros a month to to work at a grocery stoor, or 1000 euros a month to be the minister president, Id instantly pick the highest office in my land and rule justly and honorably and doing so earn my glory and the peoples admiarion.
@@gunarsmiezis9321 It's nowhere near as easy to make changes to a country. Especially anything not autocratic. Look up CGPgrey's video Rules for Rulers for a way more in depth explanation of why it isn't as simple as, "If I were in charge."
Jacinda Arden of New Zealand is not the president. She is the prime minister. New Zealand is a part of the Commonwealth. The country acknowledges King Charles the III as their Head of State. You also messed up on the name of the President of Iceland. It’s Guðni T. Jóhannesson. The money that the Queen of Denmark gets from the government every year doesn’t go all into her own pocket. It’s used to pay the salaries for staff at court as well as for inner maintenance of castles that she uses which are owned by the government and to pay for upkeep of a few castles that she does own. She is also required to use this money to fund any official travel taken on behalf of the nation of Denmark as well as any private travels. For years the Queen has had a tradition of taking a short trip to Britain in December to buy gifts for her family. The Danish royals are not poor, but they are quite far from the richest royals in Europe. They live quite modestly. Royal women are known for reusing and altering dresses they have worn before. Queen Margrethe II just celebrated her 50th jubilee. She is now the longest reigning monarch in Europe.
It's not modest when they earn so much just because they were born into families that ruled the country once. Unelected heads of states are still unelected
In the UK, the Queen (now King) is the head of state, but the Prime minister is equivalent to the role of a President. That's currently Rishi Sunak and his salary for the role, including (being paid to be a member of Parliament), is around £160k in total.
Quite a few. What he gets paid for being a prime minister is probably pocket money to him. He's worth millions and his wife's dad owns a very successful IT consultancy. Anyway big Macs aren't Rishi's thing, apparently his fave maccies order is the Breakfast wrap, which funnily hasn't been on the McDonald's menu for a while, somehow I don't think he frequents McDonald's often, do you? 😄
It’s not the salaries o f these scum bags It’s the so called expenses that they live on… al lfinish as millionaires…. Snouts in the trough…. Only in it for the money and the goodies when they leave……. Ever see a poor politician ??
Not really. The role of the President is equivalent to the roles of a King AND of a Prime Minister, because in presidential system he is the head of State AND head of government.
Very informative. But why have you spelt ‘Luxemburg’ with a ‘k’ or is this a simple spelling mistake the same as Thailand with ‘$$’ and Queen of England spelt ‘Quenn’! Also your method of display is in ascending order i.e. lowest to highest, yet after Brunei @ $1,986,768,008 you drop to $122,442,502 for the ‘Quenn’!, of the UK; then Kuwait @ $165,000,000, then back the ascending order! Any reason?
Could it be just put in the wrong place on the video. The UK Queen should be between Prince of Monaco and King of Thailand. The UK Sovereign Grant for 2021/2022 is £86,300,000. But that is for all of the royals not just the King.
