With the quiz being a massive success in Australia, it made sense to make a mirror version of it for New Zealand. And so it came to be, hosted by Steve Parr and Judith Kirk, and it spent a healthy 5 years on the air across two runs.
Here is where all that begins, with contestants Gerard, Glenis, and Barry aiming to be the first champion.

Super, thank you, show I grew up with in the 90's, wish they would bring this back now instead of reality garbage!

I thought I remembered sometime in 1986-87, that one of the Australian international Sale events (like the Ashes or Commonwealth Games) had New Zealand contestants competing, implying that Sale started in New Zealand before 1989, but I must have been mistaken. Also, you have an amazing collection! Are these episodes all yours, or do you source them from traders?

Most of them are sourced from traders, but there are some I recorded myself like the 2009 shows I posted some time ago. Also I think the Ashes was with the British.

I swear Glenis was my kindergarten teacher in the early 80s. Massey Ave Kindergarten, Greenlane, Auckland. Mrs King and Mrs Hassle ❤️

Just out of curiosity, when did Steve begin "sliding" to his podium after being introduced?

I know you said you wouldn't be taking requests, and that's fine, totally understandable. Would you mind telling us what years the remaining episodes of Sale of the Century that you plan to upload are from, and what country they were from?

Today, I will upload an episode from the US daytime run. I have an episode in mind but it's subject to change. Tomorrow will be another Aussie ep, probably from 1998. And Friday, I'll upload the two eps I have of the US's International Tournament finals from '87.
