Ah, I LOVE Salem. Sounds like you had a fabulous time! I love your selections, especially that mug 🧡 Next time you go, hit up the Ouija Board Museum. It’s so fascinating, especially if the curator is there because he will tell you the whole history. It’s in the back of a shop that has a lot of Harry Potter stuff, so it sounds like your family will like browsing the shop too! But yeah, that tiny museum is probably the best kept “secret” in Salem.

So I stayed in an air bnb BUT I know just the gal that would have the answer to this! @pumpkinandgray ! If you go check her channel, I believe her Salem series of videos addresses the best places to stay in the heart of Salem!
If you don’t mind me chiming in, the Hawthorne Hotel is pricey but if you can afford it, it’s the best location. And it’s a historic hotel, built in the 1920s iirc. Rumored to be haunted too, but I’m not sensitive to spirits so I haven’t had any encounters there.
