I know I'm a year late but if you're still curious... 🤣 it's because that one block will stop Ike's Up-B Recovery completely, so it forced an option out of Ike (which was Jump) which Steve was completely ready for and he punished it (F-Air) and kept Ike off-stage and in Disadvantage now with no Jump (and no dodge because he needed to use it immediately after) so Steve was able to safely and securely Down-Smash because he knows that Ike has NO other option now EXCEPT Up-B which is pretty easy to punish. And all because he was able to place ONE well-timed Block So I guess long story short, that Block essentially gave Steve the stock 😁

I believe it’s something like this. You stand on top of the tnt and you down smash. The tnt loses tangiblity as soon as it’s is triggred to blow up. Since the tnt loses tangibility your down smash is canceled ending all endlag. Then you buffer air dodge right before explosion so you won’t get hit by the explosion. That is how you do it.

@@dinnerboons1504 yes all end lag is immediately nullified bc down smash gets canceled. Because of the buffer system, it allows you to preform airdodge at the soonest possible time, which is faster than the explosion. Because the dodge is faster, you are able to get invincible frames to avoid the damage/knockback of the explosion.

Steve will be better offline according to m2k. He says minecart is worse irl so maybe you'll see less of it at offline tournaments in future

BTW minecart hitbox comes out the same frame as Diddy side b.
