Most importantly you need to be committed to persevere consistently for multiple years potentially with very slow growth and likely next to no income if you mean to succeed in the long term. If you're a person that requires instant gratification you will fail. The people that succeed tend to be those that put in a lot of effort consistently for a long time and do not become disheartened by the almost inevitable lack of interest they receive in the first few months (or more likely years). Either that or you must be insanely talented or lucky. You will also have to choose your subject matter carefully of course. Good luck.
