The bingo hall (Victoria bingo) was previously the Victoria theatre. I was born on the street that ran alongside this (Elton St). Every year there would be pantomimes over the winter months. The original foundation stone was actually laid by Bram Stoker and others. The building was supposedly haunted by a ghost called Priscilla. As a child I thought the building had a creepy feel to it. The building next door used to be a pub.
Very informative, I love hearing about legends such as ghosts and such. I have watched some fairly recent tours of the abandoned bingo hall on RU-vid, and I'll have to admit it looks pretty crazy looking inside. There's lots of rooms, its like you could get lost easily.
Surprised you didn’t catch any of those street ninjas, usually riding on the back wheel of unregistered surron ebikes…as they ride past, whilst maintaining firm eye contact with you, as they swerve in and out of traffic and as they ride further away into the distance, the ninja frequently looks back to make you aware that, he is a ninja. No place like home ey. 😚🤣 Great vid mate, I recommend you try buzz rock cafe in hulme the gravy is some naughty stuff
Salford isnt Manchester, Salford is a city of its own with its own cathedral and you said the name of the street wrong at the beginning of the videos, i grew up in Quendon avenue behind lower broughton health centre
I try to pronounce the streets and cities the best I can. Not always easy for an American, wait until you hear some of the pronunciations of small towns and cities where I'm from. I would think that yes Salford is a city of its own just like Bury, but it falls under a borough of Greater Manchester. It is nice to see locals chiming in. Thanks for watching.
