When this first started in America, I placed a sizeable online order of canned goods from Amazon. The bank account that I had just rec'd a deposit in, refused payment, maybe they hadn't registered my deposit all the way through(???). So the money came out of my other bank account. Both held the payment, no one was available to speak with, it was just stuck like that for almost 4 weeks. Then they released it . . . I will be more careful about accessing accounts and if there was another choice, for not cooperating with banks, I would be checking it out. I am retired, doing a little teaching still online, so I am not so affected. I have groceries delivered and go out to empty trash and get my mail. I am a Christian, so do not participate in much of the entertainment industry. I have always tried to keep a couple of months supplies available in my home. The biggest changes in America now include the 10 times the amount of those worshiping online; pastors report huge numbers of people spending at least part of their day seeking truths about God. And not getting to see grandkids for our holiday was pretty rough. So far, crime has not become worse, that I know of, you know us Americans can still protect ourselves from criminals, and the government sent money out this week so it is delayed for a little longer. Many Americans are blaming China, but truth be told, certain domineering Americans were paying them lots ! for research so the entire story of corona virus is yet to be told. I do not say that God is punishing, but He does use even bad for good, and many are having to face realities that were far from them several weeks ago. This has been a good thing in that way. Online teaching has become a much bigger deal and parents trying to work from home and keep up with the schoolwork are often frustrated. Maybe there is a little more appreciation for teachers! (Smile) Education in America has been . . . deficient. . . for some time, I home-schooled 4 and a grandson, so yeah, not really thrilled with the institutionalizing of America's children anyway.
