The general Sallen Key Topology is discussed and then Transfer Function is computed using a combination of op amp virtual short, Kirchhoff Circuit laws KCL (law of conservation of current) and KVL (voltage division) and unity gain buffer (non-inverting amplifier). The Transfer function of LPF and HPF filters are compared and then using MATLAB Freqs, pzmap and step functions, Sallen-Key Filter frequency response, phase response, pole-zero map plot, time domain step response, Natural frequency and Damping factor zeta are evaluated, compared and analyzed to examine underdamped, critically-damped and overdamped design cases.
