Looking for healthy griddle recipes? This salmon on the griddle is one of our favorite healthy dinners on the Blackstone or other flat top grill. And salmon is one of the easiest things to make on the griddle too, so it's great for beginners!
Start by seasoning your salmon filets with your favorite seasoning (or create you own like I did), then just cook the fish on the griddle, flipping once about halfway through the cook time. Add some butter, fresh garlic, and lemon juice to finish your salmon on the griddle!
This salmon recipe is delicious, and it's one of my wife's favorite healthy griddle dinners!

I fixed this tonight, with grilled veggies (yellow squash, zucchini, asparagus, onions and mushrooms). It was AMAZING! Definitely will be a repeat!

Great timing! During Lent, we're going to have Salmon every Friday, at least. Usually cooked on the ol' Weber, but I love the crispy skin from the griddle just as much. I often trade big hunks of my salmon meat for everyone else's skin.

@@TheFlatTopKing I have always removed and discarded the skin from my salmon fillets. Please consider doing a video on how you prepared your salmon skin garnish. I really like salmon but the skins always have gone away. I know the skin is pretty darn tasty, I just don’t know how to cook it! Please help!!!!

Paul, I did exactly that and it has been one of the better decisions I made. There are few limits with what we cook now, the food has been delicious when you find and follow all these type of recipes, and I've had so much more fun cooking. Looks fantastic! I usually prefer to have the skin crisp as opposed to having a sear on the salmon, so I sear the skin first.

Awesome cook Brotha! My oldest son and I are the only ones that love to eat salmon. He actually pan cooks them for his weekly meal prep. I’m going to show him this episode, that way we can try it on the flattop. It seems way easier as well as less mess in the kitchen. My first thoughts were good video to do with Lent starting as some people do not eat meat on Fridays. Then I am watching the video and ya'll are talking about how windy it is. I am like what wind, then the plate moves and I am like ok. Then the plate goes flying and I start laughing. I think the vegetables I would have put a little Soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce on them for the heck of it. The salmon looked great. My wife tries to incorporate it into our meals sometimes. I will eat it, but the whole time I am thinking about that smash burger and fries, shrimp poboy, 4 meat pizza, or maybe that taco bell crunchy wrap, well you get the picture. It's kinda like the place you want to visit, but by all means you do not want to live there. Great Video!

How hot would you say the spot is where the veggies were and about what ballpark total time did they end up staying there? They look perfect as usual haha. Great video, well done leaving in the plate getting blown away. You mentioned about trimming the belly meat but you didn't. At least not as much as I would have. I typically use the belly meat to make wonderful sandwich spreads and for crackers,hmmm. Last thing. When seasoning salmon I always recommend error on the lighter side. The flavors of salmon, especially the different Pacific species can be very subtle. To much added flavors will cover them up. Our spring salmon season is about to get started. 😋 So I should have some salmon fishing and cooking in a month or so. Have a great day 🌤😁👍🎣🐟🔥

Yeah good tips about the flavor of salmon...we get some but I would say over 75 percent would be farm raised...

@The Flat Top King thar was my guess. And that means 95% of the time, Atlantic salmon. I don't know why more Pacific salmon are not farm raised. I'm curious, did you remove the pin bones? Thought I saw some in the fillet.

That has been a thorn in side for a few years...we actually this year just hired a different bug company and they actually sprayed something under my porch and it seemed to really work...I have used all the junk you normally see...traps, lights and glue...

Does cooking fish on the griddle make it harder to clean afterwards? I know cooking fish in a smoker, or closed lid grill, it creates a lot of fishy carryover smell unless you clean it off well (this includes the grates). Do you need to do any extra cleaning when you cook fish on the griddle?

I actually have Two of them....seared scallops in a cast iron skillet....and Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo on the griddle...literally made the sauce right on the griddle

I honestly and not a fan of sous vide...tried it several times...I find it fantastic for warming things back up...but for flavor...i think it misses flavor

Dude I love salmon and I actually had it in a restaurant once where the chef seasoned it with a pinch of cinnamon and it was so good!!! Normally I try every one of your recipes, but you lost me on this one. Anything other than S&P is just wrong. Buy good fresh salmon and nothing else is needed. Let the natural flavor speak for itself.

ahhaah yeah that will get ya...I ordered red fish one day from a restaurant and it was not scaled and I had no idea...man that scale was the dang size of a thumb nail....absolutely ruined my dish

No joke....salmon is my favorite food to cook on the Blackstone. I love getting that good sear on top with butter! A little oil on the skin side before flipping is a good idea, I need to do that. Great video!! Well, except for the crooked hat, lol.

Looks great! Ever since I tried Steelhead Trout several years I have not bought Salmon again. Very similar but the Steelhead trout is better tasting. Give it a shot. They have it at Kroger same price as Salmon. Go Vols!

Try using clarified butter. Or just stick with oil, and finish your dish with butter.

Yes..in this video it was not about low temps...just simply seasoning the griddle...The first cook which already dropped shows us using the 9.5 and less burners to hit low...watch that and see what ya think

As much as I tried to love salmon it just doesn't register on my favorite foods list, even ordered coho salmon and sockeye salmon from Alaska but still not my faves. My favorite is fresh haddock or fresh sea scallops.

My local fish market sells salmon filets marinated in either Bourbon or Mango Lime. Try marinating it even my picky 9 year old son likes it, so maybe you can get your youngest to try that.
