With proper preparation, you can make salmon rice that doesn't have a fishy smell.
Rice Recipe:
For 3 cups of rice:
500cc water
2 tbsp sake
2 tbsp mirin
3 tbsp white dashi
1 tbsp soy sauce
Cook over medium heat until it boils, then reduce the heat to low and boil for 12-15 minutes. Turn off the stove, and steam it for 10 minutes.
*This applies to earthenware pot cooking.
