I got a pair of Ultra Glide 1 and have been a nice change to the usual feeling after using Sense Ride since its first iteration. In terms of this current Glide Max Tr I think it can accomodate to those people looking for extra comfort and taking some road to trail too while using the conventional laces. I like that Salomon give this option to the people. Ultra Glide and Glide Max they can both live together :)
Hey, thanks for the review. I am totally between hoka speedgoat 5 and that salomon. One thing that’s put me of in regards to salomon, is that couple of reviewers where stating that they squeak after some miles. Can you please share your thoughts on this?
I got 2 pairs of the s lab pulsar sg for under 80 each. Same weight as my vaporflys and still pretty cushioned. Great for fkt, tempo, or just slow runs. Highly recommend trying it out.
I'm trying to figure out how the Glide Max TR compares to the Ultra Glide. The UG has been my go to for 50mi runs on trails, so wondering when/why I would move over to the Glide Max TR. Any insights?
I'm pretty sure that the protective tape along the bottom of the upper of many trail shoes is more for keeping out dirt, grit and sand rather than water.
You are reviewing a lot of shoes, but I would like to know which ones you personally use. Maybe you could make a tierlist? Or perhaps just focus the tierlist on one type of shoes... Like carbon plated
3:10 I didn't think it was long, but I've never felt that Salomon fits long. To the contrary, I've always thought that the toe box was a bit boxy and stunted, like on the Salomon Predict
Still not sure what you meant when you said the Salmon shoes were meant for trails that you don’t have. Are they more suitable for highly technical terrains? Never lived in the midwest, but the area seems quite mountainous to me.
ASICS Trabuco Max 2 vs Salomon Glide Max TR? Seem to be going after the same trail type and distance, what are your thoughts? Have a great weekend everyone…and it’s great to see Ryan with Kofuzi.
Do you have any experience with the Pulsar Trail (which is being replaced as a combo of Pulsar Trail & Pulsar Trail Pro)? I would be curious as to how these compare.
I am currently loving the Kayano 29. Would you recommend this shoe for a long distance walking (like 18-24 kms) on the Camino de Santiago? Also is the toe box on the wider or narrower side?
Hi, thanks for the video. Hope you can help, my focus was on the road, but have a 2 day trail event (70km) coming up 1st weekend of July. Not sure which shoe to choose: Salomon Glide Max vs Asics Trabuco 11 vs HOKA MAFATE SPEED 4 I'm currently using Nimbus 25/NB 1080 for road. Thank you
They’re both contagrip, but they’re not identical. I also think the foam is firmer, even though they’re both nominally Energy Foam. And also the upper is stiffer And also the lacing system really locks you on top of the lugs Or maybe I’m just imagining it
@@DavaoCutieTV Super grippy but you honestly can’t feel the lugs on them since it’s such a high stack shoe. Amazing for long runs and honestly, door to trail type stuff as well. The 50k I wore them in saw sugar sand, mud and compact dirt roads. They performed flawlessly. The toe box is way more comfortable than the Speedgoat and honestly, I’d choose these over any Hoka at the moment if you’re looking to go long and stay comfortable.
@@Alabama_Runnr Thanks. I hope this will be available in our country. Looking forward to getting a pair because I really do love the comfort of my GlideRide 3.
Appreciate you not defruading your viewers with Virtual Races and promises of proceeds going to Charity then pocketing the money and acting like nothing happened! Kudos to you for lifting other up and coming content creators too. Look forward to 200k subs. Cheers Michael.
@@kofuzi I'm a strange guy. I just notice character. Most people clout chase seeking to collab with people who can boost them. I see you purposefully working with and seeking out smaller channels to help boost. I see you in the comments of some tiny tiny channels too. Your character shows too with your disclosures on sponsorships/paid trips. If I dropped a wallet with $1000 and you were running behind me, I bet you would pick it up and catch up to me to hand it back. You deserve all the success you get and you being a honorable guy it makes me want to root for it too, Good guys don't finish last.
I am NOT a fan of a non gusseted tongue. That shit is always getting out of position and just annoying to me. The upper looked pretty padded. Did it get hot on your foot or if you were running through the puddles did it seem to retain water?
Love the show....BUT you really need to stop with the totally unnecessary disclaimers. Its NOT a disclaimer to say you purchased items yourself...It WOULD be a disclaimer to admit a shoe company sent them to you. Also, you seem to want disclaimers "out of the way" so why not just put comments below your video, with real disclaimers??? Other reviewers do. Disclaimer- ' a statement that denies something, especially responsibility'. Otherwise great reviews 👍
so, ive made the call to go with the pro 2 as i got them for 100 bucks over the vaporfly 2 for 180 dollars...did i make a mistake? i see so many nikes but i ran my half marathon/10k PR in speed 2s...thoughts? @kofuzi please weigh in!
