Mike, i notice on recent IG vids that it seems like you went out of your way to be super transparent about brand affiliate. Wondering why you think it's necessary now (if you can share). I trust your opinions on brand and shoes either way. Also, are you going to review the Mizuno Neo Vista?
I’m trying to get this pair ghost max and not sure what size to get, gonna be my first pair of brooks shoes, I’m a sz 9 in nike/ adidas and and 8.5 in new balance 990v2, is the sizing on these closer to Nike or new balance ? Thanks!
I'm tempted to give these New Balances a shot. A little wary though... My first NB pair were the Zantes, as a newbie, I did not know any better if they were good or not. Years later, I then bought a pair of FC Super Comp Trainer v1's that I wore less than 50 miles due to rubbing of my ankle. I ended up donating the pair at my local 5K's shoe collection.
Thanks for your review Kofuzi!!! I feel the same way about the Skyward X! It is a good shoe, but a little to firm for me. Can’t wait for your Mizuno Neo Vista review, it is also a very tall shoe, but lighter and has more bounce and squish, and it is considerably cheaper
With all the specs, I had super high hopes for this shoe. But the second I tried it on, an instant problem...I was supinating to an insane degree. Just wasn't going to work.
Brilliant Video and informative . I just through 2 Hours of RU-vid videos that waffle on and after 10 minutes try and sell you a Book . you have loads of Positive Comments . I will try your Exercises . From a 68 year old Runner who does not want knee Surgery . Thanks .
My running shoes have always been neutral. I tried the Nike Vaporfly running shoes and they were soooo aggressive that the strain on my heel area caused a lot of problems. For me, they were very difficult to wear for long distance runs The Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 has been the perfect running shoe. So much so … that I bought as many as I could as they were being phased out I am now looking for a new running shoe. Is the Asics Metaspeed Edge comparable to the Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 ? Does anyone have any thoughts on a comparable running shoe to the old Saucony Men's Endorphin Pro 2 ? The strike was great ... not sooo aggressive that it put enormous pressure on my heels
Definitely looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one. If I'm going to pull the trigger on these, I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth considering the exorbitant retail price.
Sir, Could you please compare with Bondi 8? I am considering to buy the Skyward X not for running but for my injured foot, Bondi 8 is a good choice for foot injury, not sure with Skyward X. I had tried March X, it was not good for me. I am looking for some type similar as Bondi 8 for daily walking.
Hey Mike @kofuzi, thanks for the review - I still get some good stuff out of my speed 2's - tempo session last week and I'm at 700km's! I seem to align with your tastes on shoes - Novablast etc, but have never tried Puma plated trainers. I get on well with the Velocity Nitro 2's for day-to-day efforts. That said, with 700k's on the clock, a new up tempo trainer is near - the Puma Deviate Nitro 2 is £80 (100$) cheaper at the moment here in the UK - can get for £99 - I assume the Endorphin Speed 4 isn't $100 better ? thanks, Steven
I like strava and use it everyday. Thank you Strava to let me get into NYC marathon last year and get the last medal of 6 majors by their virtual marathon option (guarantee entry) :)
Really enjoy your reviews, but I believe this shoe is awesome for a heavier runner. I weigh in at 200lbs and truly feel the comfort and propulsion of this shoe. Thank you for all your great reviews!
As you have run in the sky+ & Edge+ it would be halpful to compare the old Versions of the sky and edge plus vs these? They are very diffrent sounding vs last models racing models. Thank you for any views as I know you prefered the Sky+, I loved the OG Sky and the Edge+ for my running style. Still have a pair of the original Sky's as a back up fun race pace shoe actually.
