The $110 Supercross is a 11.2 oz / 317 g (US9) aggressively lugged new member of Salomon's Cross family with a, roomier and softer easier fitting upper (than Speedcross 4) It also has softer cushioning than Speedcross 4. It is designed for cruising wilder and urban trails where big traction is vital. We share our first run impressions and all the details in the video.

Bought these last week. Used them 3 times in mixed terrain, nothing too heavy and they have been excellent.

I've been waiting the last 20 years for Salomon to produce not-narrow shoes. Recently bought the Sense Ride 2 and is very much more happy with that, than the Nike shi. The Supercross is a "Must Have".

Very good review that covers my feelings towards the supercross. I would agree, if you have wider feet or large big toe or want a softer shoe with no break-in time that has a wider platform, I would rate the supercross over the speedcross. I just received speecross and need to send them back as they don't fit true to size. I need at least half a size larger. The supercross is much softer in the toe box area (which I prefer) compared to the hard, stiffness of the speedcross. If you want a more padded, slightly bulkier shoe then the speedcross might be for you - just make sure you size up with the speedcross. For me, the supercross fits perfect and is true to size. The lugs are also a little thicker so the they don't flex and bend over with pressure. The supercross is also a very minimal shoe, which for me is a bonus. No gimmicks, no fuss. Thanks again for a great review.

very interested in these. most of my running is british trails (read that as anything from dry gravel to sloppy mud!) and I seem to need 10mm heel drop or i get injuries. I run in the Brooks Cascadia and found them solid although weak in the flex of the foot, the mesh starts to form holes. These look like a good replacement for the Cascadia given that they have some really good grip by the looks of it. I did have a chance to try a pair on the other day and the best fit was half a size smaller than the Cascadia, so thats a big change for me, I am always a UK 10 in running shoes, but not these, I need a UK9.5 for these. I aim to get a pair sometime soon I hope before the Cascadias wear out.

Salamon makes beautiful shoes but the problem about them...contagrip has such poor longevity, the french should make them with Vibram. I got Speedcross and contagrip ended flat very soon...

Can you tell me what is the difference between this and the blast version? I bought these couple days ago on a discount and like them so far. What do you think,are they ok for everyday use in terms of durability on concrete/pavement. Comfort vise i like them, although i can't compare as they are my first "trail running shoes",idk if I'll use them for that though. I live in suburban and walk 4 km to bus stop on rocky/muddy terrain, that's why i got them

Not sure what you mean by Blast version as Blast is ASICS. For your 4K walk to bus they should be great but my version not waterproof

The shoe in this review is an older Supercross. Supercross blast has small patches of extra protection on the upper in comparison to Supercross 3. Other than that they are very similar shoes.

Can i use this for long walking on cement places like streets?
@RoadTrailRun
@RoadTrailRun 3 года назад
Sure but not as good as a road running shoe would be for cement. Would for sure say better for cement than a Speedcross. Also see our full written review here:www.roadtrailrun.com/2019/09/salomon-supercross-review-versatile.html

The worst sneakers I have ever bought. They destroyed the back of my heel (beginning of the achilles tendon) on both legs with heel braces. No running, just normal walking.
