Note I did have to buy some new cap screws. I needed two that were longer to go into the factory rack location, then 4 that were shorter. After your remove the plastic covers and get the anything cage in place, you'll see they need to be adjusted in length. I just went down to my local hardware store, found some metric stainless cap screws and the length I needed. Total cost for the stainless cap screws was a couple of dollars.
Brad Beaird Great video and really glad to see how well it mounted on the fork. What size screws did you use? I’m about to ride the Fools Loop on my Trek Checkpoint and would like to use these mounts. Thanks for any advice you can provide.
I just came across your channel because of this video any just subscribed liking the content especially the bat flag combo on your friends bike. Have a great day 🚲🚲🚲🚲
I’ve got a Masi CX that has a traditional low rider screw hole on the fork. But my folk is a traditional crowned fork with a rake. Do you think that the rake would be an issue? I might have to mount it higher on the fork using the lower Gorilla clip hole to match with the Masi low rider hole. Make sense?
CaptainBobAdventures And it won't rattle loose even if one hits a bit rougher terrain? If not that would be what I'm looking for. Anyway, no matter what your response will turn out to be, great, helpful video! :)
I can see how that might be more than some would be able to spend. If you find a more affordable solution, please share it with me as I’m always interested in different options.
I did find this where someone made some from plastic type containers. Here is link if you scroll down you can see maybe an idea: singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/diy-anything-cargo-cages/
