It's all about taking the initiative on consoles. If you see your wingman under attack, it would benefit you both to get in and try to save him. Trying to have a spotting scope on tanks or spotting through other means can be a big help too.
@@arianas0714 I know this was 3 years ago, but I've run into so many players who have A: Music blasting through the mic B: Their own game audio because they don't know how to set their headsets to "All audio" C: A crying child screaming in the room or D: No idea how to adjust their mic volume so when they *DO* communicate it's like a FNAF jump-scare. I've turned VOIP off it's so annoying. I've run into a grand total of one person that I didn't automatically mute.
Me- *Watches Silk video* Silk- 78 0 in a Spitfire. Me- *hyped thinking i too can gun ppl down in Spitfire and own the sky.......proceeds to get destroyed and go 1-15 in a airplane*
@@fullysickshuffler666 I turned into a heck of a pilot. I run 20+ kills on the regular in fighters now. Yes took lots of plane time. I got it down now.
Peyton Carranza I was playing some salty kids that were just doing slow downs so me and teammates started jus ramming I took out like 5 ppl in the 109 and my plane survived like 2/5 times 😂
The better weapon is not the key reason for his win. I'm impressed by the rear view observation and the following maneuvering to catch the enemy. This reaction is definitely experienced.
@@SilkOCE Yes radar is way powerful in BF5 and makes dogfight easy. But I still prefer to use eyes because I can predict the movement by observing the direction of their wings before they turn. A bit earlier than radar and MUCH MORE FUN.
@@joshwatts9911 I already do it. As soon as I want to play fighter, I always have, and by far a better score on the Allied side A few rounds of bullets and it explodes with these double machine guns, impossible to compete with a German fighter plane...
Yes, they're broken. But in a neutral dogfight, the G2 has an advantage due to leading edge and radar. He's got faster turning, rolling and a radar over me. DICE hasn't shown any interest in nerfing them either :/
It depends how I fly. I was intentionally not shooting before the dogfight a few times just to give him a chance. In that situation, he has a slight advantage with leading edge and radar.
Does this non - horizontal view help you gain advantages over enemy fighters in dog fights ? I tried but it feels so odd , I think I would have to practice how to fly with that view in an empty server or something.
Dumb question but imma ask it anyways, im on Xbone & whenever I fly my follow cam is fixed to whichever way I roll. As yours is free floating and only your plane turns when you roll or loop, not the whole dang horizon. Is this a pc feature or am I in luck?
hey SILK, whats your opinoin in the new AA BUFF? i think Dice are idiots that donr have 1 guy working for them that flies planes lol how often they oversea plane problems
That was an impressive bit of flying, sure to enrage your enemies & make some fellow pilots like me jealous but im not an angry jealous im a i want to do that kind of jealous. The price for being an exceptional pilot is salty.
Hey Silk. Long time viewer first time commenter. I'm a console player and I really appreciate your videos as you really do have a talent for planes. Can you give console players any tips in regards to setup, controls and tips? Console it seems harder to see players from a distance so it makes it hard to tackle infantry. Any tips would be awesome! Thanks in advance.
Silk, I'm always impressed on how you make those sharp turns and outturn the enemy that is chasing you. Care make a video on this? I try so hard to do it, but I always lose for the enemy plane when it comes to a dogfight.
Please man don’t learn from him, you have to watch an actual dogfight to learn, look up speedlbnd vs hazelnutq8 videos in bf1 you are definitely going to improve just by watching the movements and in bfV it’s actually easier because the plane is slower
Fluxation yes you are however you have to turn if chase camera, you can still do it with it on but it doesn’t feel naatural Because you can’t see yourself turning
To be fair, there never was a 1v1 except for one occasion. The other times you downed him were whilst he was otherwise engaged with another plane or with the assistance of an ally. You said "ez" several times when it wasn't even you but an ally who downed him. tbh you were the salty one
Maybe so, but that guy was only flying in a literal circle. Silk was doing loops and spins and keeping track of his enemies from almost every angle... so I do believe Silk is the better pilot, salty or otherwise. And yes, the other guy was certainly salty too, and thinks very highly of himself... he needs to get outside more often.
Honestly though I would be as mad as him everytime I get a plane and the next 20 seconds I'm dead from another enemy pilot. My only problem with the fighter planes is that the turn rate is so slow, and I try to use my brakes but it does it really slow.
Nice flying but really no need for the trash talk when you're in the op plane, just stay silent and let em rage, the plane is unbalanced the VA can kill the Gs in a single burst but the Gs take multiple bursts to down a va, my kills are always higher in allied planes, also where the hell is the AA... the second I go like 10-0 AA tanks and stationary guns are everywhere
10:00 someguy said, hoe can you even see them silk. I was like that too once, then i started flying, and then you just learn what is what. What is moving ect, its really fun once you learn it
RusnakAutoDesign for me on my 1440p Monitor, the entire map despawns from 150m out. Even vehicles, trees and entire buildings are not rendered. I basically cant fly in BFV despite everything set to ultra. The game has some huge problem with high end settings
@@SilkOCE I dont see why you have a problem with it since the 8 guns are more overpowered anyway. And the 37mm im talking about takes skill. If used properly it can control the air. I dont see why seat switching is something you dont like when you have 8 guns anyways.
@@Hanz_Goober I don't think the VA takes skill, neither does the B2 really. Hitting planes with the 37 can be a bit tricky, but aside from that it's pretty easy ground attack.
I was hoping the 37mm for the Stuka was going to be fun, but boy was i disappointed. You practically need to overheat the guns to destroy the tanks and get lucky, otherwise every shot bounces off
You should watch some bf3 pilots like smashed, don't get me wrong silk is also the best pilot I know from Bf5 but Im not so much into it like I was on bf3 so I can't say to much here :) BTW smashed has some tutorial you that even help a bit at bf5
@@SilkOCE yea he was not just a 1v1 fighter but also rly good at 8v8, think one of the best overall pilots of bf3. I don't rly know if I want to go deep into flying at Bf5 course it fells a bit like the unloved child of dice.
How many overall plane kills are you at silk out of interest? Not to far off the 10k milestone. the salty chat nearly every round is definitely a thing man
Awesome gameplay! Not only did you manage to farm a massive amount of salt in game but it looks like the comment section is a straight up salt mine as well.
I get bummed out because I want to learn pilot in this game but I always get gunned down IMMEDIATELY. I want to git gud but I can't ever practice because I get aced.
Although the spitfire's punish game is stronger b/c of its ridiculous guns, that doesn't mean that the guy didn't get reversed a ton of times. A competent G2 pilot can punish those stall reversals with their rockets as well, so I don't agree that spitfires are auto win.
