I just found your videos and I enjoy reading the text about the wild horses. You seem to be very familiar with the individual horses and help us understand any action we are seeing. I've just subscribed because the the videos are well made with sharp focus. I like this particular video especially because you didn't use music and it helps to hear sounds of nature (the music in other videos is too loud and distracting).
This was so educational, thank you! I went down there a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t spot any. It was so dry - a dramatic difference from when I was there to film them a couple of years ago. After this week, I’m sure there will be plenty of water in the river. Thank you so much for this video again - I learned a ton.
Sasha, Thank you so much for letting me know that you found the video very educational ! That is a big part of my goal to help educate. Our drought has become severe as you noticed which has led the mgmt group to feeding the horses hay. Originally they said they would not leave hay when the horses were around so they would not associate food/hay with humans. A great plan but didn't work like that for very long and I don't know why. Unfortunately their fear of humans has been reduced which is not good, but they are not starving. 💜
@@jollyoneful they, hopefully, will have plenty of food now after the rain. I just saw a video from 1/28 with a huge heard up on the hills. The guy who posted it was driving and happened to see them. I’ve never seen so many in one place. And yes, I don’t want them to get used to people because what’s going on in Heber is just heartbreaking.
Sasha, It was great to get a little bit of rain and hopefully things will start to grow. I am only a few hours drive to Heber and have had the opportunity to make the trip up there to see the wild horses several times. I really enjoy them also, just not as often as the Salts. The horrible shootings that have taken place the last several years is unconscionable! Then to top it off, law enforcement does not seem to be interested in solving these crimes. Just wrong on so many levels and makes me quite angry.
@@jollyoneful couldn’t agree more... it’s mind bugging that they can’t stop the shootings. I was last there back in April and didn’t see any horses. Hopefully this spring I can spare time to go back up there. It’s a beautiful country!
