My passion for animals and nature combined with my love of photography leads me produce these videos. The Salt River Wild Horses are one of my favorites to film, along with sunsets, and weather related such as lightning and monsoon storms.
Thank you for this amazing footage and informative comments. I wish people would stop breeding horses for exploating and the only ones that left would be such free and majesting creatures.
Your video wisely says to not feed, touch or water wild horses. Have you told SRWHMG that, that has fed them rich Alfalfa (which can easily cause Colic, which can be fatal, in a horse that is not accustomed to that food) after telling the public not to? No one should wonder why they've lost the respect of all those that have learned of their harmful deeds. By the way, when a horse *wanders, that is the way the word is spelled, not "wonder." One wonders why adults don't check their spelling.
Yes, also very relieved the young filly in heat for the first time, got up after the first young stallion was claiming her for his own. Glad he didn't bite her too severely.
@@jollyoneful Thank you!!!! You're videos are top quality and I don't know why you don't get more views. Especially from the all the horse lovers out there.🤔
Thank you so much! They have many of us living in the area that check on them and photograph them. They are managed by a group and if they need help they are there for them. No apples or carrots. It is not part of their normal diet and can cause chocking and death. Please never feed wild horses anything. Their habitat provides all of their dietary needs.
Feeding animals in the Wild causes many problems and can cause death, whether it is a squirrel, a bear or a horse. Feeding horses foods they are not accustomed to can cause Colic, which can be fatal. Feeding Wildlife causes them to become dependent on people, to the point that they 1. lose their freedom and their natural ways, and 2. can be devastated by people, lured to different sites that have no water. Respect Wildlife and do not feed them. Keep Wildlife wild!
@@jollyoneful I would **not characterize SRWHMG as "being there for them." They've lured them away from their water source and away from shade, they've taken away their wild nature, they've made them dependent on man, they've turned them into a petting zoo, and they do not fill the water troughs on a timely basis which leaves many of those water troughs EMPTY. They are betrayers of the horses and those that cried out for their freedom and lives. The original cry was "Keep them Wild and Free", and now many of them are neither, and many of those horses are dead! IF they *had to move them away from Butcher Jones' Recreation Area, they should have moved them to the RIVER where there was food, water and shade. If you continue to defend the traitors, I will unsubscribe. I thought you loved the horses! Their habitat *does provide all of their dietary needs, but SRWHMG fed/feeds them rich Alfalfa which they were *not accustomed to and which could/did cause Colic! This *after SRWHMG had told the public to NOT feed them Alfalfa or hay, breaking their own word! I am *sorely disappointed that you are defending them as supposed caretakers. They have lost the respect of tons of Arizonans because of their sneaky, underhanded, traitorous ways that have harmed the horses very badly! 🤬😡
Beautiful boys! I really enjoyed the background music, its perfect. I visit the Onaqui herd in utah quite often and what a dichotomy in its surroundings, you have so much vegetation and water. Where as the Utah herd is in the west desert, near the old pony express route.
When was this filmed? The end of the video stated it was March 20th of last year, 2022. It would be good if you would state that in the video description.
You can tell when it's an amateur photographer.... why do you think zooming in so close you don't see the rest of what's going on or get a good perspective is so important or appealing???? There are 10 horses, but you zoom in on one, maybe two.... if something does happen, you will miss it....
Thank you for doing this video n sharing it with others. I know if there was a joint effert these wild horses could go to good homes. People need to get them self some land n a couple horses. It's got multiple benefits, more than I can count.... No need to kill them.... Let's get our land back from big business n start living like the good Lord intended us to people. For the sake of your children & grandchildren ,& generations to come....
There's absolutely 0 benefits of enslaving these horses. When do people finally realize no horse wants a metal bit in its mouth, pain from the whip, a heavy person on its back controlling every its move?
The stallions need to be gelded, their is a surplus of wild mustangs in BLM holding pens who have been imprisoned there for a number of months and years. So "adding studs"to the herd is irresponsible to say the least! We don't need anymore roundups and mustangs in holding pens who many end up in auctions and kill pens. I can't stress this enough...geld the stallions!!
How very old is this footage? May 18, 2018. It would have been very nice if that filming date was given in the video description. We *do appreciate your videos, especially recent ones, and it's nice to know the filming dates prior to watching. Thank you. The presence of Mule Deer shouldn't be surprising; the Heber horses have the passing company of Deer and Elk fairly often, since after all, they're not a threat to each other.
This mini movie had all emotions in it.. the gamut. I watched it over and over. How you would have felt there was on my mind as well. I know you all would have jumped in. Thank you.
