The persistence with which that last guy took Ls, flipped out and then civilly dapped his opponent before going back to his blind rage is testament to a well developed set of moral standards.
I can respect the last guy for not actually destroying anything, and despite his super intense rage I see him pretty much every single time going and shaking hands/fist bumping his opponent. That is commendable.
@@xooperz you want to destroy the thing that is making you unhappy. Rage isnt a logical thing so you just go to break either the mouse or the source of the images that are pissing you off (a tv/screen). Some people feel these feelings torwards the sound, IE the headphones.
@@chriskagero4583 it's true , I've broken about 4 phones because of brawlstars and everytime I regretted it cos then I'd have to wait for about 2 / 3 weeks to get a new one 🙆♂️ istg my parents be too kind (well I did lie about the reason for the phones breaking but still)
@@pman7588 that's just gamers in general look at any pokémon showdown salt compilation, gamer logic always says that if I lose to you, you're trash. Which means I'm now worse than trash, but I'm going to insult you anyway to try to inflate my ego and instead make a fool of myself
@@AngelBunnyOrAtLeastOneOfEm I remember in the arcade there were a couple signs. One said "No Throwing" the other said "Fighting = Ban" so there was actually a lot of good sportsmanship in play. A lot of matches ended in handshakes. People who were raging like idiots got thrown out. These days people have no concept of sportsmanship. The lose and blame their opponents for the loss instead of looking at how they can improve. They whine like little babies. As far as people raging on me in real life goes I have nothing to fear from anyone who can't control their emotions. It's a sign of an insecure person that folds under pressure due to crippling self doubt.
It's because most people aren't "good" at competitive games. The way I see it (in smash ultimate), the "good" players are like Mr. E, Cosmos, Samsora, and Nairo. If you can't even compare to these players, then you just can't call yourself "good". This goes for everybody, including myself. I consider myself "halfway decent", as I play for my college team, but I'm probably at the midway in skill on our team. The "Great" players in smash are people like Esam, MKleo, Spargo, and Prodigy. That's just my sense, being super strict on wording and comparisons.
@@nepnep615 hopefully you don't push that onto others, as I find it hard to imagine that you could get absolutely destroyed by someone and If they called themself good you would just deny it if they're not top 50 in the world. Also, you've got your priorities on who you're calling good vs great mixed up, samsora was 2nd best and Nairo was 4th best at some point, while prodigy isn't even on the top 50 list.
@@williamle1884 When people can consistently beat me, I say that they are "better than I am". I am quite careful with my words when talking about that. In addition to that, I just thought of players that I've seen dominate recently without too much thought. If I put the time and research into it, I would probably have different people in there. Notice how there were 4 for each? To answer your question: no, I don't push my own two-sense into it most of the time. I always base good and bad off of something, and when I base it off of myself, I base it off of the top players.
Kiraflax is probably the most infamous rager in smash bros, respect to that dude for still playing the game and going to locals after so much humilation.
Bruh, the guy at 6:20 tho. That super awkward *pointing-at-screen pose* and then laughing right in the face of the other dude, who is obviously not having a good time. Looks like he either wanted to provoke or is too autistic to have the tiniest amount of empathy necessary to just not do that
"You still have one stock left! Don't give up!" Funny you mentioned that, because at the time (Hi I'm the Bowser at 4:18) I legit thought the game was over right there. It was when I shouted the second time and turned around to get my controller I noticed the game was still going and went to put the chair back. I ended up forfeiting soon after the clip anyway because I was so angry that there was no way for me to beat Sennahoj. I have to beat him with baits and punishments and when I'm fuming after such a salty explosion I frankly can't pull that off.
@@BJGvideos TL;DR: I had a bad start to the day and the tournament wasn't much better. To start the day, me and my mom had an agreement that she would drive me to the venue, but she completely forgot the time because there was a festival going on. Then, when I realized she's not coming I messaged the TO that I'll be an hour late I walked to the bus stop, but on the way it went from clear skies and sunshine to cloudy with rain. While I had my switch and controllers in my non-waterproof bag. In addition, five minutes before the bus was supposed to arrive, my mom drove past and picked me up which is when she told me she forgot the time because she was "just" going to watch the event and then pick me up. On the venue, during the tournament, the bracket was not very kind to me as my first opponent was a zoner and I am very, _very_ bad at dealing with zoners. My next opponent was not very good so I took my freebie and moved on. That was the only good thing besides the friendly banter that day. After that was the game showcased in the video. To really explain why that was the final straw I have to clarify some things: 1. At the time, Sennahoj had never beaten me before. I am one of those players whom will be unbeatable to those lower ranked and cannot beat anyone ranked higher than me, so losing to him was a huge hit to my ego. 2. Sennahoj's playstyle is very annoying for me to play against so it always sours my mood somewhat to play against him, even when I win. 3. The reason I get so annoyed fighting Sennahoj is because he does so many things that really shouldn't work on me, but it just keeps working. 4. One of my worst weaknesses is being unbelievably bad at mashing, which is the whole reason why the double suck-n'-cuck happened to begin with. Most of my rage was directed as myself because I failed at mashing _twice in a row._ So with the combination that I was already angry, Sennahoj's shenanigans had annoyed me the whole set, failing the easiest mash at 0%, and thinking that footstool happened on my final stock, I exploded. There wasn't too much aftermath besides the clip going semi-viral and a talking to from the TO, who said he didn't _want to_ ban me because he knows I never rage like that, but he might have to if it happens again.
the guy who was in there often at the end is Kiraflax. Despite his rage, he is actually a great dude and probably a legend around the california smash community
Yeah i got mad respect for him still having the decency to do a handshake and be respectful to his competitors, not throw a bitch fit at them because he lost.
There are so many clips of Kiraflax rage, he's basically known for it at this point. Always insane, weird, wacky rage, on the verge of going Super Saiyan 90% of the time he loses. No one does it like Kiraflax.
Despite raging multiple times in a row, he did manage to give props to the other player at times. He may be extremely angry and looks like a baby, but he's got some gentleman in him.
I love how for the last guy, you can progressively see the chairs behind them empty as the audience moves away in fear, knowing what's about to happen next
5:40 Dude was fighting SO hard to keep in the rage. His body could barely handle it, his muscles were tearing apart fiber by fiber, but he managed to do it. Props to him for going further beyond the limits of his mortal body.
Getting mad and everyone laughing at you is actually one of the worst feelings ever. I also agree with what some of the guys said of "bruh this guy is trash why the fuck am I losing to them".
@@slimxshady6111 yea... you're saying "this guy is trash i should be playing better than this" i can agree with that feeling because sometimes you get hit with stupid shit 🤓
I don't think that it's the lack of showers that is the reason why they rage alot, I think that it has more so to do with the fact that they've been fighting in Smash for so long that they would rather have an actual fight instead
Yea kiraflax goes fucking hard. He is iconic for raging at these and even got one of these event tourny things banned from playing at the venue again because of his rage
If I had to sit next to a grown-ass man flipping out and breaking things like that I would immediately go into fight or flight mode. I don’t think these gamer rage moments are funny at all, at most it’s pathetic.
@@rileyrobin2 yep i'd never even think about being friends with any of these dudes..unfortunately anger issues usually are present in more than just video games. there's a serious issue these dudes have lol, what stops them from talking like that to a significant other if they anger them? men smh lol
@@rileyrobin2”fight or flight”? Lmao tf? Do you hide under the couch when it storms as well? For ppl to try and call this a sport, they sure hate sports like reactions
@@wamlando449 it happened on one guy, they were playing smash 4. Dudes first action after losing was to stand up and toss his opponent off his chair lol
As someone who has some pretty hard to control anger, being laughed at just fuels the rage because once you reach that point not much matters in your brain.
I've tossed controllers before, but I've always had just enough control to aim for something soft. Haven't had to buy a new playstation controller in like 5 years
my friends and I are big smash players, and loved watching through GRsmash, Dragon Smash, and other rage compilations. Was good to remind ourselves that when we got salty, at least we weren't like these dudes embarrassing themselves on stream, or at a public tournament like some of these guys did.
5:03 I was thinking that at the exact same time you brought it up lmao. I used to rage when I was younger, NOW I can see that the entire angry dramatic scenario in my head...was visible to nobody else. They saw some jackass, impotent with rage, flailing for seemingly no reason. That's it lmao I finally realized this because we had a guy at work that would explode into screaming fits, and it just looked ridiculous. Someone was countering his points calmly while laughing at him, and it helped me see lol
I remember once when I was younger I threw my controller at the ground and it bounced back up perfectly and I caught it and continued playing like nothing happened.
I love how he commentates the first clip like gamer rage is a competitive sport but then turns into a mom trying to calm down their child having a tantrum
4:45 .. i used to work as a serverwith that guy who is raging.. he was super chill and a shy/relaxeds guy, but when things got rough at work little hints of anger would show, it wasn't until we saw that brief rage of his during and employee party smash tourny.. he's a strange guy
LMAO @Penguinz0 stop this hilarity bro hahahaha you're preemptive calls on some of these rage moments are slaying me rn well done dude and thanks for another banger. Bless
The guy at the end is Kiraflax and I would say he is featured at least once in almost every single episode of GRsmash’s salt compilations. The man is super passionate about the game and has a really hard time controlling his emotions. As another commenter already said, he’s apparently a super nice guy, he just loses his shit when he loses a match.
Seeing so many GCN controllers being flung around by man children is actually so upsetting it almost makes me wanna report this video for “graphic violence”.
yes..one of the "best" parts of working customer service is having to deal with adult temper tantrums while they're holding up a line asking for a menu item that doesn't exist LOL
