I had to watch several times to understand and it does look easy . The Uni braid knot confused me a bit as the line was in a loop wrapped around the rod guide which I believe doubled the Uni knot. That is not required......correct? It could just be a single strand of braid?

This is a great tutorial, I used this knot a while ago and landed a 33" Snook, the knot held through the battle. Would the braid hold up well if it was connected to the fluorocarbon with a swivel? would you recommend such a rig? I like to use sinkers, what rig would you recommend when using a sinkers? ... my concerns with using braid is the the tangling :(

Great tutorial. Can I use that knot for muskie and shark instead of a wire leader?

Maybe...I am not a muskie expert, however, a heavy fluoro leader may work just fine. Maybe even better

Always tie the braid side first and use way more than 5 turns. I usually do 14-15. Mono side I do 5to 6 turns. Never cinch that tigh until the lines jam together first

Depending on the pound test and line manufacturer, you may find that more turns are necessary to get a strong knot.

14-15 is way too many. max 8. and then 5 or 6 with mono.

I understand how to tie the knot but I have not been able to find how you connect it to a leader or how to tie it to a hook. Do you just tie your knots as usual just use the double line?

Tom, do you ever tie the double uni using single strands, without the bimini or do you always use the bimini? I am spin casting for redfish and trout.

cowboy Mike It depends on the pound test of braid and Leader. General rule of thumb, if it is below 20 lb I use a bimini.
