That's what I always found funny about SoT: one of the few games where the "hardcore" players actually play for fun while the casuals are the nolifes who just play to watch numbers go up lol.

And I support them, theres people who just don't like pvp. Why shouldn't they just enjoy a little sailing trip? I myself like pvp, well I suck, but I'm still having fun. But it's just those big, inflated ego's of narcissistic megalomaniacs. If there's no "noobs" for prey, they just start deflating into depression. So yea, I get the idea. And don't get me wrong, they accomplished something really awesome, just the way it was done, kind of disgusts me.

It's every kid's dream when they play pretend to sink the enemy ship and shout 'AARRRR!!' And in the end, it's a game made for Tweens and up. It has a easy entry, but high skill ceiling, as you saw in the video above. PVE Servers would ruin the dynamic of needing to be aware of your surroundings. It would be like if 2b2t had no PvE. Or DayZ having Player-Killing shut down. It gets rid of that skill ceiling that keeps people from coming back. The Arena was a great addition... at first. As Rare or Microsoft made the decision to not give it much focus, leaving a promising gamemode to rot away. And Rare fully went in on the 'Tales of the Sea of Thieves' road. And while yes, PvP elements remain, they are not at the forefront much because of that people forgetting IT'S A BLOODY PIRATE GAME! So: while people may think a certain way, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. And everyone is entitled to a opinion. But some opinions like "I think that 2+2 equals Baby-2." or "I think the new Star-Wars Ep 9 is good.", are just flat out wrong by logic and history. If you go into that tall tale, you can cancel the mission, and keep the supplies you gained from the server. You will then be merged onto another server with the supplies saved. (doesn't work for treasure etc) Good if you have a fully stocked ship, and would save time. Majority of the time, its still faster and more convenient to just leave and get them manually.

If Pace uses his captain ship, then people can spyglass him from a distance and it will show his name, which is counterproductive for stealth missions.

That would literally take away what makes the game what it is? The happiness and nervosity you get after getting your athena, the adrenaline pump when you're getting attacked or attacking for big loot, the big satisfaction of success when you've won the fight, the pain you feel after your loss. This is what the game is all about! It's called Sea of Thieves for a reason, not Sea of Tresures or Sea of Killers..

Why does it matter how old they are? Have you seen these 12 year old kids playing fortnite nowadays? They could be great players but they got dumpstered regardless.

Also one of the players on one of the sloop sounded older than 12 if I have to estimate 16-20

they clearly arnt all 12, but i do understand the confusion, they did all act like they were 12... except for 1 single 12 year old, who was more chill about it than the grown men on all 3 ships
