This video is to answer questions people had from my other videos. This video is about the SaluSpa Hollywood AirJet Inflatable Hot Tub Spa with Color-Changing LED Lights 4-6 person
In order to keep it warm does it have to be ran all the time. Does it run up the electric bill a lot if so. I've had mine running for about a week and starting to think maybe it's not a good idea because it will be expensive. Is it better to shut off and only run it 24 hours before I want to use or
The air pocket in the bottom is normal. The whole bottom has holes in it that the air pump pushes air through to get the even airflow up top. Those holes are the “air jets” they advertise.
I keep getting EO2 and pump shuts off i drained tub and run hose thru pipes to clean out put back together and added water and it is worst then before i cleaned the lines. Wont stay running shuts down with EO2 comes up. What do i need to do next?
I just bought a saluspa laguna. Control panel looks like yours. How do you cycle the system on and off? I don't want it heating and running all of the time. The directions are not clear on this.
I have the Miami and one thing I will say…after reading some of the reviews and seeing the videos, they said you can’t use the heater and bubbles together. This is false. I have a basic 110 or 120 outlet (USA) and I can run the heat, filter and bubbles with no problem. I think the outside lights and ceiling fans as well as some minor stuff like a light and electric chair and some chargers are plugged in and I haven’t had any circuit trips at all. In the directions it even says the heat and bubbles work together. So don’t be afraid to run the heat and bubbles together!
Big help for knowing what chemicals and making sure I understood and was right about how to set the heat! Also A+ for showing me the blue piece was part of the cover on another video! We just filled ours and hope to try it tomorrow!
We just bought one of these and set it up. But Did I do something wrong because the jets didn’t turned on and the directions we got weren’t directions at all just pictures.
I have not had that issue with mine. I would try the basics. Unplug it for a few minutes and plug it back in. If that does not work, contact the manufacturer.
Thank you! Your videos saved me so much time and effort. Just set mine up while watching your videos. Secret Xmas gift for my wife. Just hope she doesn’t go outside till Xmas. 😂
I didn't set mine up my ex did then we broke up. So I don't know what I'm doing. Idk where the filter is or where it goes. He bought bromine tablets... I hope those are ok.... Where do I buy the filters?
Does anyone have a digital copy of their manual they'd be willing to send me? We got ours from Costco - it was the last one on the floor and was returned by someone without the manual!! Been tricky setting it up without a manual so your video has been really helpful We don't know if we're supposed to turn the hot tub off in between the days we're not using it. We're definitely not going in every day and don't want to waste money heating it every day.
I've had mine set up since Christmas day and it's been running ever since. You can set the timer so it'll kmow when to start heating.... I haven't tried that feature yet since it takes time to get it to 104 so i just leave mine as is.
I found it pretty easy to set up and the quality wasn't that bad. That being said, I would NOT recommend this unit for anywhere north of the sun belt unless you plan on only using it in summer. It is basic math. It's only a 110v heater, and it's got very basic insulation including an unimpressive non-fitting blow up cover. The blow up cover only covers about 75% of the tub. The exterior cover is good. But keep in mind it's waterproof, so if it rains, it will sag. So plan on emptying it after every use. I find it works ok in a northern zone if I fill it with hot water. It takes about 2 hours, and with a custom rigid foam cover, I can keep it warm even if it drops into the single digits. It will run your electric bill about $75-100/month. Folks (even down south) forget to mention that. One final comment, my pump failed after 3 months. It trips the built in GFCI and won't go on at all. So now I basically use it as a non-bubble hot tub. It is nice though to sit under the stars in winter, or even when it's snowing. I do keep the cover on, lol. It's the only way to keep yourself and the water warm.
My electric bill is quite a bit higher up here in North East winter. This is to be expected after all. It’s been quite cold 30’s, dipping to 20’s and at one spell in the 10’s. The tub did well. We keep ours on a three season porch with the tub cover on when it is not in use. I’m sure we over chlorinate. If you keep your temps high, you’ll need to add chlorine more often. We were told by our local spa company it should be a 1:2 ratio chlorine to shock. The timer is easy to use, remembering that the first number you set is determining how long the tub will heat for. The second number you set will determine the delay in the heater coming on. Our local spa store said to keep the circulation on (at least periodically) to ensure there is no overgrowth of anything nasty. Over all, this is a great solution if not looking for permanence!
How often do you change water? Do you leave the hot tub running at all times, even not in use? Should I turn it off if I only use in the weekends F-Sun? Thanks
I had that error on Sunday, looked on RU-vid to determine what that code was (very happy that I just had to clean the filter) so I changed my filter, pushed the test button on the plug and the error cleared.
Curious what type of electric plug it has, is it 110 3 prong or 2? And would like to see what you meant by installed the led lights and see them work. Thanks
@@bigtim208 well it says 1 left in stock and also saw they were 289 just a month ago, missed that window smh, I wouldn't have hesitated to purchase for that price. Oh well
@@nosirrahm Do you know more about this? I have a Bahamas version and I believe it shut off after 2 days. Can't quite figure it out. It's a bummer since it takes so long to heat up.
In 30-40 degree outdoor weather, is it supposed to always stay at 104 degrees if it’s set for that? Mine is at 91 degrees and it’s not raising now that it’s colder out
I wasn't going to say anything but now that you said it, it would make a heck of a drinking game every time he says magic of you tube, everybody take a drink. This is all in fun and not an act of meanness towards the RU-vid contributor. 🤗
Does your outdoor plug receptacle have a GFI breaker? I've been told that this is essential to protect you from possible electrocution if something goes wrong.
My hot tub is flashing E02 . I have checked my water level it is good. My filter is clean. I put on stoppers and checked the connect hoses at filter sprayed out but seen no debrie. We have only used the hot tub a few times. We woke up the other morning with the E02 sensor flashing. I added water because it was a little low. Woke up the next day and it was flashing again. I have checked all things and still no water flow 😕 any advice would be helpful.
My electrician needs to bond the spa with a #8 bare copper wire, but he can not find anywhere to attach it. The manual states to connect it at the power box/terminal. He opened up the bottom of the unit believing there would be a lug to connect to, but none found. Where would the power box/terminal be?
Ok so we are looking at getting this and the only spot I have to put it is on the back porch. We have outdoor animals we feed including 5 cats, a couple possums and raccoons lol. How is the thickness on this? Could they possibly pop it or is it thick enough it could hold up to some wildlife climbing on it? Because I'm sure they will be on it.
I purchased this hot tub and had to return it because it was leaking air in the inflatable lid cover and the hot tub itself wouldn’t hold air. I was very disappointed.
Buy another one, that one just sounds defective. Mine has been up exactly 1 month and I've had no issues with leaking. We just had our 1st snow 2x this week, so I'm curious if I'll need to add more air once the weather gets above freezing.
@@danieleviola5696 I also read the instructions on the spa sanitizer and my PH down it says to add it directly to the tub with the jets on and not a bucket. So thanks for the information but I'm going to stick with the instructions and the recommendations of professionals. I think you should consider doing the same.
No once you remove the cover and turn on the bubbles the temperature will start to drop. I've been using mine since 2 days after Christmas but I can't wait until the Spring and Summer nights.
I bought the foam filters off eBay, works wayyyy better FYI and way less expensive! We bought the same model in montana, a month ago! It’s been very cold lately, it’s gotten under 20 degrees here, and it never falls below 102 covered!
@@bigtim208 Using a Kill-A-Watt I tested with the heater (and filter) running an average of 1,300 watts so this is basically a hairdryer element to heat the water. Since I didn't get a chance to fill ours until 12/31 but was still warm for NJ (50 outside), I added a few harbor freight moving blankets on top of cover to help retain the heat (we placed ours in our garage as I don't know how it would handle any large snowfall). Thanks for taking one for team and documenting all of this making a great reference compared to that well documented instruction guide.
I just bought this one and am having trouble putting air in the bottom plug, I don’t understand why air isn’t going in or how much air should be in it. Also on the box and directions it lead me to believe that I could have it outside during winter since it says it’s winterized so I thought it would be safe outside even with snow on the ground like at your Hot Springs
There is only one plug that needs air on the hot tub. That is the side wall plug. The bottom plug in the tub is for draining it. The only other thing that needs to filled with air is the lid.
Yes it can be outside in the winter. Although I think it is going to increase my electricity bill. Lol... Right now it is costing me about $30.00 a month. I expect it to be $50.00 this month.
It can stay outside in the winter. As long as the heater is on, it wont allow it to get lower than 40 degrees and the water won't freeze. Mine sat out in the snow last week with no issues.
Thanks for the update, Tim. 👍 How often do you have to change the filter? I read on a different review that it is supposed to be changed weekly (?)~😬 Yeah, umm, that can get pricey~lol.
