It sounds very interesting. I was going to add it to my to-read list, but it's already on it lol. Great review :)

Some consider trigger warnings spoilers but I always appreciate it because I'd rather be spoiled for that than come across it cold so always appreciate you posting them. Excellent and thoughtful review, glad you enjoyed it :)

SO much! I was happily reading a mystery and there was the most gruesome pony death imagineable. I'll never get over it. There was a story I read in college which had an awful rabbit death. It still pops into my head frequently. I have a feeling the writers witnessed these deaths too, so they really happened, whereas I doubt they saw an ax murder.

@@lazyhomebody1356 *hugs * same happened to me with one book that had a rabbit 🐇 death I had one where it was inc***(not sure if RU-vid would allow the word) and I put it in the donate bin right away.. same thing happened with crimson peak movie 🎬 and I had been enjoying the movie till then.. to me they didn't have to add that twist.

@@EmeraldFantasy I've read so msny psychological thrillers that have incest as the dark secret that I'm OVER it. It IS creepily gothic and insidious so I kinda liked it being in Crimson Peak. But I respect your triggers! Do NOT read English psychological thrillers, lol

@@lazyhomebody1356 thanks,it just creeps me out and noted 👍🏼 Someone asked me once if I was a victim and that's why I didn't want to read it and I said no, it just creeps me out. I love a good Gothic or ghost story otherwise though

I grew up around people who fought dogs n as unsavory as I find it. I can say they did love them. I’m gonna pick this one up. Dope review

The more I think about it, the more I feel like it's no different than the spouses of people who box, or fight in MMA and so on. I've always found it interesting how people hold the lives of animals as more precious than humans. But, with all that said, I could never watch a dog fight. I'm too soft hearted. Don't like boxing or UFC either.

"When he gets in his cups"-- Using the most English expression ever about a very American man. Made me laugh

Oddly enough, I got that from King. He uses it a lot
