I’m glad Jennette McCurdy is speaking out against Hollywood, her mother, and Dan Schneider. It’s disappointing that Dan Schneider is still not being held accountable for his actions. I’m fine if Jennette McCurdy does not want to reprise her role as Sam Puckett in the new iCarly reboot. Her mental health matters.

That email from her mother is abhorrent. Abusive, narcissistic people use the best parts of you as weapons to punish you for not obeying and destroy you. @JoelHernandez-tz3vk
@JoelHernandez-tz3vk Год назад
To my understanding. Narcissism and sociopathy are learned so this is presumably us as society failing them. But I wonder if by the time symptoms manifest, they're far to ingrained in their mind to uproot the narcissistic thoughts. Psychopaths on the other hand is genetics so I can only assume the best course of action is removing them from the gene pool. ASAP.
@Alisstta
@Alisstta 5 месяцев назад
@@JoelHernandez-tz3vk Sometimes, psychopaths can be taught differently if they catch the symptoms early on from what I've heard. Nature vs. nurture, y'know? I'm definitely not a medical expert or a psychologist, but I've seen multiple sources saying that while disorders and psychopathy do run in genetics, they just make them more common? I'm not in any way an expert on this, and just wanted to put this out there, but I can definitely be wrong. One note on the 'removing people from the gene pool' though. Isn't that similar to eugenics? Not allowing people to have kids to get a more favorable gene pool for future generations? I definitely agree, but I feel like it would form into something worse by not allowing "unattractive" people to reproduce, or whoever decides who has kids might not like certain groups, like minorities, religions, or the LGBT community. It's not that you're wrong, but that the world would twist this around to stop people who don't have these issues from having kids.

@ DaniS398 Only reason this keeps happening is because producers aren’t held accountable. They’re allowed to get away with things just cause they have money. Because without child stars, there would be no movies and shows for kids to enjoy.

The fact that in icarly Freddie and his mom have no boundaries and she does body exams on him and is very controlling and this was meant to be funny but it was really happening to Jennette in real life I feel so bad that she had to make fun of the things she was really going through and with all the food stuff on the show too I’m so happy she’s healing and putting herself first

so sad. i was 30 feet from meeting her at a carshow in Atl at the Georgia World Congress Center. i got barely close enough to get a good enough picture to see who she was before my parents got tired of standing in line. this was in probably about 2010(??) im not sure exactly the year.

She left $300k on the table and walked. That says everything you need to know. Never knew her story.. so sad what she had to go through with her mother. I cant imagine having my own mom speak to me like that. Even at her most upset, she's never even come close.

"the creator" aka dan schneider needs to go to jail he literally touched jennete and was acting all creepy preassuring her to take some of the unnamed adult drink another person who needs to go to jail is that guy jennete was dating he was 30 and dating a 17 year old girl wth!?!?!?!?
@Nonyah123
@Nonyah123 5 месяцев назад
Sadly, a 30 year old dating a 17 or even 16 year old is not illegal in the US, or in many parts of the world. 16 is the age of consent and they refuse to change it because it serves the sickos in hollywood and the government

I'm super glad that she is speaking out against Hollywood,her mother and Dan Schenider because they need to be in the wall of shame plus Dan Schneider needs to be held accountable for his actions I think that her mother was trying to live her dream out of Jennette and not knowing the red flags that was going on in the industry and beng toxic and blame it on her daughter that's so low.

Wow! 30:18 Her own mom wrote that. Disturbing! Then, the very last line is this.... "Send money for a new fridge. Ours broke." Even creepier, Mommy Dearest. Yikes! It's sad that parents aren't really held accountable for such criminal actions. I guess kids can be freely abused at home. No one will intervene. Sad. That's life.

Jeanette, I just want to say. I watched you as a kid as your a few months younger than me. You were always one of my favorites. I am so glad you did this. I am so glad you stripped it all away, and just said what your experience was, and you were able to do it in such a pure way. My heart aches for the way you were treated. But it has built you into who you are now. It just goes to show, you never know what these actors, comedians, singers, etc are going through while they’re performing for our entertainment. Drew Barrymore had such a crazy childhood as well due to a lot of choices that were made by her parents. Just know, you are so amazing, intelligent, and worthy of kindness, loyalty, love, and life. It kills me that I may never see you in another film again in my life, but I absolutely respect it. Sometimes you have to do what’s best for you and not everyone else.

Child beauty queens, olympic gymnasts and skaters, and of course, child actors. Show me a child star and I'll show you a parent who's pushing them too hard. I think most parents give their kids too little to do that's actually productive. But some parents rob their children of their childhoods.

Most do not truly come into their own tell their folks have passed.... We spend the time they are alive merely trying to please them and being the person they wanted us to be... only after they are gone can we be free to be as we are... Some cut ties to family sooner to this fact but not many.
