I see 3 concerts a week as my career. Sometimes it's hard to really get into something because you dissect it so much. This song... this is the song every songwriter want to write. It's about everything, it's about the things we want to be nothing, it's about life - this is how life sounds. It's amazing, how free as a writer Sam is to write with such simplistic yet powerful words, it's a poem, but it sounds so good! I have rarely ever been transported by a song like this, if at all. This is history.

This song helped me through 2023, a year when dépression knocked at my door again. I heard myself singing random lines of this song while I was walking thru Trafalgar and Soho one night, and I had a couple of tears running down my face cause I couldn't believe I was living to see that city, yet the year felt like going to waste in so many levels. Thank you Sam for holding a hand for me throughout these tough times... And actually, in my case, I was 33 going under. I hope 34 are a bit gentler - and I hope to see him playing live this anthem someday.
