I know!! That's exactly what I love about s3 too. They are all so clearly becoming the best versions of themselves by this point - exactly what Ted wanted. They've grown so much since s1.

YES!!! The thought I had during the armband scene was "Jamie being friends with Sam probably made Jamie kinder. Sam being friends with Jamie made him more comfortable being a bit of a dick (jokingly) lol" But yeah I love how much they've grown!

He really is! Even before 3x11 when he was mostly in the background of s3 and not having a super obvious arc like in s1/2, his continued growth has been so clear. He's been a really fun character to watch through the series.

He's done a great job!! And it really has been.

I’ve always liked Jamie and it makes me feel great knowing his story properly. He may be rich and sometimes pompous, but it’s also the very real story of a child prodigy being in the public eye, and one parent having way too high expectations. It feels like a real situation and plays out very naturally. Seeing his dad for that brief moment in the home (maybe for old age, mental disorder, alzheimer’s, etc) smiling at his son playing regardless of his team, really hit home with me. Jamie’s dad wasn’t a good guy but at his core he wanted his son to succeed and be happy. It’s very crushing to know that a parent is capable of such abuse, but it’s also very special to see the kid come out stronger and smarter on the other end. Jamie feels like the main character sometimes. He makes me laugh and cry and understand him. he’s the man!

@@rat4992 There's a sign next to the TV where Jamie's dad is watching that says, "Progress not Perfection"- I believe that's to imply that he's in a rehab center of some sort. I also like the way that Jamie's relationship with Roy had a similar trajectory with his father- in fact the poster of Roy being the only one that stayed maybe was a subtle nod that Jamie looked up to Roy as a father-figure, but had no way of relating to him on a healthy or positive manner, so they clashed. But now, Roy is so proud of Jamie and the player/person he's become. It's so wonderful.

@@christofferjenzen78 When I tell you it was the only category I was looking for that day! (Altho I'm happy for all the "Ted Lasso" noms). I watched the livestream- they didn't announce it. I looked on Variety, THR, etc- it wasn't listed. I finally had to go to the Emmy website and download the PDF of ALLLLLLLL the categories, which is in no particular order, and scroll thru 'til I found it, and when I saw his name, I honestly wept. He's SOOOOO deserving of this. I couldn't be more chuffed...

So much growth! There is so much love and trust between them in s3 and it's so great knowing that that's not where they started. Jamie was so mean to Sam and then in s3 he's constantly supporting him. I love it!

Aaahhh thank you!!! And oh I'm so glad you liked that! That call-back was one of my favorite parts bc it just shows how much their relationship has changed - they're both constantly looking out for each other in season 3 and checking in on each other. It's so sweet! Thank you so much!

I'm glad it showed their journey well!! It really is. It's has really great character arcs and deep emotions for a comedy. Hard to just stick it in the comedy box.

Yeah :/ I'm still trying to figure out sound mixing and overcorrected the dialogue. Considering re-mixing and reuploading. There are subtitles you can turn on though.

@@megbee1 fanvids actually don't require music. Not sure why anyone would think that. Music takes away from what you're trying to get across with the editing.
