This is another video of Sam & Max Hit the Road, a graphical point-and-click adventure game done by LucasArts in 1993. It's based on the Sam & Max comic book characters created by Steve Purcell. It is the first adventure game using the SCUMM engine that doesn't use the classic control verbs interface. It was released for PC MS-DOS, Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows.
In 2002, LucasArts made an attempt to create a sequel in 3D, entitled Sam & Max Freelance Police, but this project was cancelled in 2004. After LucasArts' license with Steve Purcell expired in 2005, the Sam & Max franchise moved to Telltale Games. Since then, they develop Sam & Max video games in episodes, the third season has been announced to be released in 2010.
In this video, you can see the German talkie version. You might want to turn on subtitles. It's one of the few games that I finished in my childhood. In this version, Max has been voiced by Sandra Schwittau, who also provides the German voice of Bart Simpson.
